If at first you don’t succeed….

…screw it up and start again!!!

EDITED – Seeing as how I managed to totally muck up my Mr Linky post thingy to challenge 28- do NOT ask me how!! – I thought I would enter it to this weeks challnege (no. 29) instead!! It was doomed from the start that challenge anyway and as this weeks theme is Spring I thought this would be the perfect card.

Well I finally got something together for the challenge at the Cupcake Craft blog! The inspiration was a vase of yellow flowers and so I obviously thought of springtime. I have used my little chick stamp which I love and coloured it with Marvy pens and stickles. The dotty paper is Pink Petticoat and the sentiment is Papertrey Ink.

Off to get a cuppa to warm me up – I just can’t stop shivering today!!

PTW Challenge – Hot Chocolate,

Orange and brown is my favourite colour combo this week so I am delighted that the challenge over at the Paper Take Weekly blog is those colours with pink too. My mojo came back a wee bit tonight probably because I was back in my comfort zone with my fave colours. I did make a card for the Cupcake Challenge too but I’m not sure I am all that pleased with it – again. It may need to be tweaked before I can share it with you!! The base card is Bazzil, the papers are the gorgeous Stampin Up ones and I bought the stamp from a lady on UK Scrappers. I love this stamp so much !! The Happy Everything stamp (which I didn’t do all that well) is one of Steph’s Papertrey Ink ones.
Right, I feel I’ve had therapy tonight with that little crafting session! I have had a tiring day helping my mother-in-law pack her house up – she’s moving on Friday! She isn’t going far though – she’s going from No 4 to No 13 (we live at No 2!!).
Off for a quick cuppa then bed>

Hmmm, not sure about this one.


Hi all, I have had one of those nights where I have sat and struggled to put something together that I’m happy with. I was attempting to make a card for the Cupcake Card Challenge and DT call this week but for some reason I am having a mare! I think there are a couple of reasons:

1. I’m not a “yellow” kind of a gal and the inspiration for the challenge is a photograph of some very pretty yellow flowers. Funnily enough, my favourite flowers of all are yellow roses – go figure (as they say in the States).
2. I’m tired!!
3. I have a cold!! Boo hoo.

The challenge at the Pink Elephant is “Ribbons and Die Cuts” so as I’ve used my Sizzix heart die and wrapped it in ribbons, it does qualify for that challenge too!

Anyway, I made this card but there is something about it that is niggling me. I’m not sure I’m entering this card at CCC and may try again tommorrow and see if me juices get going any better than today!! Any helpful advice on what is wrong with it would be welcomed.

I’m off for a lemsip…
