Fun With Stencils

We are showcasing Pink Fresh Studio Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I pulled out the Pink Fresh Studio Sunburst Layering Stencil and used Distress Ink in Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Carved Pumpkin. I also went over one of the layers with Translucent Texture paste. I die cut a circular aperture from the centre and used acetate to create a shaker window with yellow sequins behind.

I die cut the sentiment using the Pink Fresh Studio Everyday Sentiments Die Collection.

I adore this Milkshake stamp set from Mama Elephant – it’s so cute. I stamped and coloured the images with alcohol markers and masked them so I could stencil a spotty background.

It’s a Stitch Up

We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

It’s Mother’s Day in the UK at the end of March so I thought I’d get ahead of the game. I started by stencilling the base card using The Speckles layering stencil from Tim Holtz using Tattered Rose Distress Ink. I then created a panel using the Damask 3D Texture Fades embossing folder and blended Tattered Rose and a little Worn Lipstick Oxide inks over it. I LOVE this effect. I roughed up the edges using a Distressor tool and then used my sewing machine to add a stitched border around the panel.

I used the Tim Holtz BIGZ Heartfelt die to cut a piece of corrugated cardboard and swiped some Spun Sugar Oxide Ink over it before adding Rock Candy Distress Glitter around the edge. I added Alcohol Inks to some Tim Holtz Ideaology Bouquet stems and glued them on to the edge of the heart and adhered it to the card.

I used a Sizzix All Occasions Thinlet set for my Mother’s Day die cut sentiment – something similar is available HERE.
