A Spoonful of Sugar #50 – Touchy Feely and an Award!

It’s Tuesday so it’s time for another fabulous challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar. This week we want to see touchy feely cards – so add some texture. The DT’s cards are gorgeous as always and we have another great prize on offer kindly donated by Bryony at Silly Monkeys.

My card has my favourite little girl again, Daisy by Sugar Nellie. I have added some flower soft to the image in her hair, on the flowers and ground around her and to the centres of the the daisies around the image. I have had this stuff for so long but never really used it much. I quite like the effect you get.

I have been twice blessed this week too with this lovley award from Steph AND Jeannette – two of my favourite bloggers. Thank you so much girls – I am honoured to get it from you both. I will pass it on later when I have a spare minute. I’m meant to be in the car on the way to meet someone now but updating my blog seemed to be much more important!!

Cupcake Crafts Challenge 38 – Numbers.

Thank you to everyone who took up my 5 Embellishments challenge last week. I think it was a tad more difficult than I first though it would be – for me too. The cards you all made were fantastic and it was very difficult to pick a top 5. Glad I won’t have that job again!!

This weeks Cupcake Crafts challenge has been set by the lovley Claire and her choice is NUMBERS. The DT have once again come up with some gorgeous cards so please pop by the blog if you have a minute. The inspiraion for my card actually came to me whilst sat at my craft desk wondering what on earth to do. My DCWV Sweet Stack was just under my nose and so it popped into my head to make a Sweet 16 card. I have cut the letters and numbers out using the Storybook cricut cart and then put glamour dust on the pink layer. I make no apologies for it’s girlyness – I was in a pink mood!!

Feeling blue!

I just got my new nesties yesterday (at last – I think these were in high demand!!) so couldn’t wait to have a wee play. Since I did a pink haired Gorjuss girl I have wanted to do some other less conventional hair colours so thought I’d have a go at blue! I think she looks just as cute. The papers are SU! ( don’t seem to be using anything else these days!) and she’s coloured with promarkers. Since she is surrounded by glitter and gems I thought it would qualify for this weeks “Mirror Mirror” challenge over at Cute Card Thursday where you have to use something shiny. It don’t get much more shiny than glitter now does it?!
