Ellen Hutson… 12 Tags of Christmas

Ho, Ho HELLO! I’m thrilled to be participating as a guest designer for this year’s 12 Tags Of Christmas event over on the Ellen Hutson LLC Blog! Each day, one of the EH Design Team members has been paired with a guest (which today is MEEEE!) and I’m so happy to be sharing the stage today with the fabulous Lisa Spangler!!!

Each day the tags we create are inspired by a classic holiday carol or song. Can you guess what today’s is? That’s right ….

LET IT SNOW!

Lately I have become re-obsessed with my Gemini Foil Press and so the first thing I thought to use for my snowy-themed tags was the Essentials By Ellen Snowflake Hot Foil Stamp. I used the Essentials By Ellen Farmhouse Tags Dies as my base.

I created 4 tags using different coloured foils and embellished them using the Sweet Snowflakes Dies from My Favourite Things with glitter paper and white card finished off with some gemstones in the centres of the die cut snowflakes.

The foiled sentiments on each of the tags was created using the gorgeous Yana’s Christmas Sentiments Foil and Die set from Spellbinders.

The last of the tags I created uses the foil sheet negative space left from foiling with the Snowflake Hot Foil Stamp. For this I grabbed the Pinkfresh Studios Solid Foil Plate and foiled the tag so that the solid area foiled leaving the snowflake as the negative space. I love how there’s no more waste of the precious foil!

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit! And thanks to Ellen and the team for letting me play along with these fantastic products.

All products I’ve used to create the tags can be found at the Ellen Hutson Store. (Affiliate links are used at no cost to you xxx)

Ellen Hutson Winter Release

Hey there!  I am so thrilled to be sharing a card with you today featuring some gorgeous products from the latest Essentials By Ellen Winter release.  There is such a great variety of products in this release, and I’ve had so much fun playing with them over the last couple of weeks.

The card I’m sharing today uses stamps from two different EBE sets – Cup of Cheer and Sending Holiday Cheer.  I also used the Pinkfresh Studios Diamonds Hot Foil Plate to add some shimmery detail to the background.

I started by stamping the elements I wanted for my card from the Cup of Cheer set in black pigment ink ( Versafine clair Nocturne) onto some watercolour cardstock.  I heat embossed the images with Ranger clear embossing powder and then used Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers to add a wash of colour to the images.

As they were set aside to dry I stamped the large Sending Holiday Cheer stamp in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in Ranger Gold embossing powder onto a strip of white cardstock.  I trimmed it down and turned it into a flag shape by cutting a “V” into one end.

For some additional sparkle I decided to layer the sentiment and stamped images onto a foiled panel using the PinkFresh Studios Diamond Hot Foil plate.  I used Spellbinders gold foil and probably slightly over-foiled it as the lines of the foiled image are a little rough rather than perfectly clean and smooth.  I decided I actually quite liked it for this card so chose not to re-do it!

I die cut the panel down using a pierced rectangle die and arranged the stamped images and sentiment onto the foiled panel using liquid adhesive and some foam tape for dimension.

I chose to place the panel onto a white A2 landscape card base but wanted a little more interest in the background.  I splattered a little Irresistible Gold Texture Spray onto the card base and once dry dded the assembled panel onto the front using foam tape.

For a final little flourish I added some extra embellishment using the EBE Colored Lights Droplets to tie in with the colours I used on the festive glassware.

Thanks for stopping by xxx

Avery Elle Winter 2021 Release Blog Hop

Hey there! Today is the day! It’s time for the brand new Winter 2021 release from Avery Elle. We have lots of wonderful new designs available in this release but today I’m sharing the gorgeous Cherry On Top stamp set and dies!

I love cherries as a design element – they make me think of the 50’s and cherry soda’s and milkshakes! I often pair the red of cherries with a pale blue or aqua and so this is the theme I chose for this card too!

I stamped the cherry onto Canson watercolour paper with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink. Then I used Karin Brushmarkers to watercolour the image. To make the cherry glisten I covered them with liquid adhesive and sprinkled them with Ranger Rock Candy glitter. I love this stuff!!

For the background I pulled out the Invitation Frame Elle-ments and die cut it from whiite cardstock and again from some patterned paper from the Holiday Paper Collection.

To finish off I stamped the sentiment in grey ink and added a few sparkly gems just to up the glitz factor!!

There are lots of fabulous ideas to be had if you hop along with the rest design team! The next stop on the hop is Heather Campbell but for the full list please see below!
