Hello! We are so excited to be hopping along with our friends at Ellen Hutson today. We are featuring projects using our NEW Liquid Watercolors and are SO excited to show them off in action. Avery Elle’s liquid watercolors come in 10 gorgeous shades that can be used on their own or easily mixed together to create custom colors. For an intense shade use the watercolors straight out of the bottle. If you want lighter shades, just add various amounts of water to get the color you desire. The possibilities are endless. I have been having SO much fun with these watercolours since I got them and just love their versatility. If, like me you’ve jumped on the latest alcohol ink trend then I you may be interested to know that a lot of similar, but more subtle results can be achieved with these water colours. Avery Elle Summer Release Blog Hop

It’s that exciting time again – a brand new Summer Release from Avery Elle Stamps! I am so happy when the new goodies are finally available and we can start sharing all the fun projects we’ve been working on. I have designed 2 new stamp sets and coordinating Elle-ments in this release and am thrilled to be showcasing them today in this amazing blog hop. Right, so onto my creations! The first of the two sets I’ve designed this time is called Floral Bouquet. It has a bunch of flowers as a large single stamp and then other elements such as leaves and buds so you can create your own display! I’ve made 2 cards each time pairing the flowers with one of the amazing new frame dies from the release (going to the very top of my “must-have” die list by the way). On the first card the images are stamped in New Moon Dye ink and then coloured with Copics and finished with a coating of Spectrum Noir shimmer.

The flowers on this second card were stamped in Versamark then heat embossed in white. I used Kuretake Tambi Gansai water colours this time and used a blue card base to complement the images.

Simon says … Happy Birthday Simon!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the last week’s challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

To celebrate this week we are showcasing products from Simon Says Stamp. You don’t have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

So this week, I thought I’d pull out one of my ALL TIME favourite Simon Says Stamp sets – Artful Flowers. There’s something about the simplicity of the flowers that I just love! I created a landscape A2 card and used the Tiny Dots stencil with some Avery Elle Lemon Grass pigment ink to give me a subtle texture to the background. The I stamped several of the flowers in Versamark and heat embossed them in white before using Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers to colour them in. I created a wee video if you’d like to watch the process!!
