Avery Elle – Thank You Die

Hello – I’m popping today with a card I created using the gorgeous Thank You die from Avery Elle.  I absolutely adore the font style and size of this die – it makes the perfect focal point on a card.

Thank you

I used Avery Elle smooth white card for my card base and cut a strip of patterned paper from the Avery Elle Everyday paper pad.  I cut a narrower strip of co-ordinating paper from the same collection and adhered them onto the card front.  One of the flag shapes from the Dotted Elle-ments set was cut from vellum and adhered onto the layered paper strips.  The Thank You was cut from white cardstock and glued in place over the vellum which also helps hold it in place so no glue is visible.  I finished it all off with some twine and a few Doodlebug sprinkles in silver glitter.

Remeber to visit the Avery Elle design blog every day for lots of amazing creations from the rest of the team.  Also, a date for your diary … the CHA release will be available on 26th February.  Can’t wait to start sharing my designs with you!

Avery Elle – BUNTING!

Hey there – I’m over on the Avery Elle blog today with a card I created using the gorgeous Bunting stamp set and dies.  I created the aperture using the You’re Invited dies and backed the negative space with some patterned paper from the Everyday Collection paper pad.  I have a TON of thank you cards to make after the Christmas festivities so this is at least a start!!

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas – I ate far too much, drank far too much and slept far too little!!  Here’s to a healthier 2015 for me!!

Papercrafts and Scrapbooking Magazine Special Thanks Blog Hop

papercraftshop1

Hello – I’m delighted to be joining in with this blog hop specially put together to say a big thank you for the amazing contribution this fantastic publication has made to the crafting community for so many years.

You should have hopped here from my lovely friend Jamie at the Avery Elle Blog but if you’d like to go back to the start then you can pop by to the amazing blog of Jennifer McGuire.

I never organised myself to actually submit anything (although I swore EVERY time there was a new call that I would) – but I was an avid reader.  The inspiration that poured from it’s pages was always so fresh and bang on trend.  The designers (so many of whom I am happy to call my friends) were always at the top of their game and I learned so much from them.

To say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the talented people who put everything into making Papercrafts and Scrapbooking Magazine such a special treat – I created this little card.

Thank you for the years, the inspiration, the entertainment and for making the crafting community the place that it is.  We’ll all miss you so much.

The next talented designer on this amazing hop is N@Ali – enjoy the rest of the hop xxx

Hugs,

Caryn xxx
