Liz at Pink Petticoat has set a challenge to alter one of her paper downloads and use them on a card. I LOVE all of her papers and image stamps so was thrilled by this challenge. I have never even thought to layer up her designs the way she describes on her blog and it has been like a revelation to me. I feel like I’ve now increased the usefulness of these downloaded papers by a million per cent!! I am also going to enter this card in the challenge over at Charisma Cards whose theme this week is ……PINK! Yay – my favourite!
With this card, I have first printed the solid bubblegum pink then reprinted over the top with the new Pretty Doodles in black. Love this colour combo. I went over the areas I wanted to flock with a Quickie glue pen then rubbed the flocking paper (made by Woodware) over it. You can’t really see it in the photos to be honest. The Basque is a stamped in Versamark then embossed a special embossing powder called “Sticky Stuff” by Judikins. You heat it as normal and it gives you a sticky outline which you can use with glitter or foil or in this case the same flocking sheets I used on the paper. I have added black glitter and some pink gems and that’s it really. Oh, I have stamped and embossed a flourish design (stamp set by Basic Grey) onto the black card before I mounted the basque onto it.
OK, that’s it I think. I have to say, I do love how it turned out.
