What a difference a day makes!!

BEFORE

This was the nightmare that I’ve been putting off for weeks! You can’t even see the stuff to the right of where I’m standing which was piled with more junk. Well, after a strong cup of coffee and a valium I set to it and now look!! I give them about 24 hours before it starts to resemble the first picture again!!

AFTER

By the way, did you even spot the baby in the first one? lol

Challenge accepted Amanda!!!

They say blondes have more fun but being of the “mousey” variety I wouldn’t know anything about that!! Earlier today I made an off the cuff remark about these Gorjuss girls suiting dark hair and not being able to see them as blondes. Well my blog buddy Amanda challenged me to try her with fair hair and though I had my reservations, here she is in all her golden glory!!! What do you think Amanda? I actually think she looks really sweet with light hair and have to take back what I said!! You were right and I will try to do more blonde girls in the future!! Thank you for challenging me to do it as I probably would have stuck to doing her with brown, auburn or black hair forever! Cheers babe.

I have stamped the thank you onto the card using some Papertrey stamps that Steph has so very generously loaned to me. Off to play with them again and see if I can come up with something for the challenge over at her new blog, Passion for Papertrey.

Oh, I am entering this card in two challenges too!! Both Charisma Cards and Cute Card Thursday have an animal theme this week so seeing as how the Gorjuss cat has managed to slink into this picture, I have fulfilled the brief, yay!

Gorjuss again – for PTW.

Oh I am enjoying these stamps SO, SO much. They are simple and elegant and the colouring in bit is so much fun!!

This is the first time I have attempted black hair – found the idea of it a bit scary to be honest. She really suits being dark though – just can’t visualise her with blonde hair somehow. The papers are Pink Petticoat and this time she is watercoloured with marvy brush pens.

This is for the challenge at Paper Take Weekly which is another wonderful sketch by Dawny P. I have messed a wee bit with it by changing the middle bit from a rectangle to a circle but other than that it’s the same!! I guess it’s ok cause some of the DT’s have changed it too.

Well I feel all in all I have achieved a fair amount today, I tackled the kids playroom and am almost there with it. Will get the rest done when they’ve gone to bed – that way they won’t see what I’m chucking out!!! I have taken a before picture and will take another when it’s done. One day when I get back to scrapbooking I’ll make a LO showing them how messy they are!!!
