Finally – I’ve made a challenge card!

For some reason I have been really bad at getting through the challenges these past few weeks. As I managed to get my DT stuff done early for next week as I was able to have a look through some of the current challenges and was taken with the sketch over at Sketch Saturday. I have used my fave, Daisy and some of the SU! paper from Steph. These are Tea Party from the new mini catalogue and they’re gorgeous.

This is just a quickie as I have a pile of ironing reaching up to the ceiling! It’s all very well and good these lovely sunny days, getting all your washing out on the line and all that….the down side is it all needs ironing!!!

Here come the girls!

Afternoon all, hope you’re all well. I thought I’d share this card I made the other night with my latest purchase – these beautiful Stamping Bella Ketto stamps. Aren’t they so cute? They’ve been coloured with PM’s and then glamour dusted!

I have also been given the Smile award agin this time by the most awesomely amazing lady Donna Mundinger – thank you so much hunny, I am so honoured to get this from you.

I had my Stampin Up! evening last night and had a great time. I wasn’t TOO naughty but got some fabby stamp sets , papers, card etc. I can’t wait for it all to arrive. Nicci, the SU! demo who came over was so sweet and showed us all some really great ideas. There was a wide range of experience in the room and she catered for everyone – novice to expert! Thank you so much Nicci, it was a brilliant night and it was so lovley to meet you. I hope you enjoyed it too. If anyone would like to order any SU! stuff then I know Nicci wouldn’t mind you popping over to her lovley blog (Procraftination) and having a nose – if you’re in the Merseyside area then she could do a party for you too!! (plug, plug!!). Seriously, it was a lot of fun and I would reccommend it to anyone.

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge 48 – A sketch by Caryn (ooh, that’s me!!!)

Hee hee – I am proud to say that this week’s challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar is a sketch by me!! This is my very first attempt at a sketch so please be easy on me, I hope you all like it. The DT have done wonders with it so please hop over and have a look. We have a gorgeous stamp as a prize this week generously donated by Katie and Collette at Nutcrafters – I wish I could enter myself!!!

I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with this week – so get crafting!

This is my take on it. I have used a digi download (Dorothy Anya) from The Greeting Farm and coloured her with PM’s. The papers are from the most fabulous gift I received from my chum Steph at Much Ado About Nothing. I asked her if I could buy some of the Sweet Always SU! papers from her (she’s an SU! demo) but instead she sent me a selection of virtually every paper in the SU! catalogue!!!! She is such a HUGE sweetheart and so kind – I LOVE YOU STEPH!!! The papers on this card are from the Sweet Always range – my favourite. The bobbly string (?) along the bottom is from my Raspberry Ribbons kit from last month. I have been dying to use it since I got it but never really had the right spot for it. The flowers have been dyed to match the papers with my PM’s – I love how you can change them to suit your card!!

Right well, speaking of Stampin Up! I am hosting my first SU! evening tonight. I’m so excited – it’s like one of the best shops in the crafting world coming right to your house!! I have a bit of tidying and sorting to do before then – BUT it’s such a nice day here again that I may have to potter in the garden a bit first!!!

Have a lovely day wherever you are.

Hugs,
Caryn xxx
