Avery Elle … That Bites and Ribbit Ribbit

Hey!  I have a couple of cards over on the Avery Elle Blog today showcasing a great couple of sets from the Summer Release.  The first one is probably one of my favourite sets – That Bites.  I love how Heather illustrated these deep sea fish – so funny with that sentiment too!

The second card uses the Ribbit Ribbit set for a clean and simple card that I think is perfect for a younger recipient – such fun to colour.

ADD SOME SHIMMER

We are showcasing Lindy’s Gang Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used. The lovely people at Lindy’s Gang sent all of the DT a parcel of samples to use, thank you so much, we really appreciate them!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

Sharing an inky, splattery explosion for this week’s challenge!  Not really my usual go to technique but I think I could get to quite enjoy it!  I created a panel using (yes, you know it – Wonky Stitches from Avery Elle), and inked in up using Spiced Marmalade Distress ink.  I then got the Lindy’s Gang solutions Pineapple Paradise and High Maintenance Magenta and added tonnes of splatters.  When that was all dry I used the MISTI to stamp over it using the Butterflies set and Big Greetings (Avery Elle) multiple times for a good dark impression.  I then used the same colours as a paint for the butterfly!.

Hello, all! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

Thank you for joining us for the Father’s Day/For A Guy Challenge! We loved seeing your fun and innovative designs this week! Please join us this week for our brand new challenge!

This week the challenge is…

ANIMAL MAGIC

We are looking to the animal kingdom for inspiration for our ‘Animal Magic’ projects! From butterflies to buffalos, kittens to kingfishers, we will be looking forward to see which animal you choose for your project!

Many of us have fur babies that are very much a part of our family and we would love to know what little critters live with you! Maybe you could add photo’s of them on your post too!

We are showcasing Paper Smooches Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

It’s fair to say, I’m a cat person.  I do love dogs (and all animals really) but deep down I would love to come back as a cat – they have the best lifestyles!!  My card is dedicated to my most favourite cat of all time and we tragically lost her just a few months ago to a car accident.  Her name was Talullah and she was a black Persian cross.  I’ve never known a cat to be so loving so I was devastated when she died 🙁  My card uses the Cat Icons Wise Dies from Paper Smooches and I simply die cut the cat and fish bones from black card.  I cut the eyes from purple glitter card for some added sparkle!  I think it looks quite Halloweeny with the orange background!

And here’s wee Talullah – miss you my little fur ball xxx
