Avery Elle … Aloha and Modern Alpha

Hey there!  It’s Monday so I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog today with a couple of cards using some fun Summer release designs to get you in the mood for the impending holiday season!  On both cards today I used different elements from various sets just highlighting how well they all work together!!  Both cards use the same bright, tropical colour palette and similar combination of images but both look completely different in the end result.  The images are coloured with Copics with touches of Glossy Accents and Nuvo Drops for extra dimension.

Don’t know about you but I could really go a nice cocktail right now (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?)

Avery Elle … Sentimental Too

One of my favourite stamp and die sets from Avery Elle Stamps last year was the Sentimental collection.  What a fantastic concept – I have used both the stamps and dies many times on my cards.  Well this year we have Sentimental Too!  An additional collection of amazing sentiments in the same gorgeous style as the first batch.  I’ve paired it here with a set I designed for the latest release, Floral Bouquet and I think it is a match made in heaven!

Avery Elle Summer Release Blog Hop

It’s that exciting time again – a brand new Summer Release from Avery Elle Stamps!  I am so happy when the new goodies are finally available and we can start sharing all the fun projects we’ve been working on.  I have designed 2 new stamp sets and coordinating Elle-ments in this release and am thrilled to be showcasing them today in this amazing blog hop.  You should have jumped here from my fabulous friend Karolyn Loncon’s blog but if you want to start at the beginning (and you really should) then go HERE to the Avery Elle Blog.
Right, so onto my creations!  The first of the two sets I’ve designed this time is called Floral Bouquet.  It has a bunch of flowers as a large single stamp and then other elements such as leaves and buds so you can create your own display!  I’ve made 2 cards each time pairing the flowers with one of the amazing new frame dies from the release (going to the very top of my “must-have” die list by the way).  On the first card the images are stamped in New Moon Dye ink and then coloured with Copics  and finished with a coating of Spectrum Noir shimmer.

The flowers on this second card were stamped in Versamark then heat embossed in white.  I used Kuretake Tambi Gansai water colours this time and used a blue card base to complement the images.
