Welcome Baby – Simon Says Stamp Falling For You Release

I recently became an Aunty for the 10th time!!  My gorgeous little niece, Chloe was born on 6th April and she is just GORGEOUS.  Today I’m sharing a card I made to welcome her into the family.  I used the new Baby Party Animals set from the fabby Falling For You release along with the new Diagonal Stripe background stamp, Stitched Circles dies and Stitched Slopes and Hills.  The gorgeous sequins in the shaker are the Phosphorescence Mix from Lucy’s Cards – LOVE them!

Avery Elle – Super

Hello and happy Monday!  Monday means Avery Elle time on my blog and today I’m sharing a doozey of a set called Super.  It has a set of coordinating dies available too which can be used alone or with the images.  There is a definite “comic book” (or graphic novel to the geeks!!) style about this set so I took my inspiration from there.  One of the papers from the Everyday Paper Pad has a sunray design so I chose this as my backdrop.  I then die cut the city skyline from black card and again from white.  I stamped the white peice with the coordinating stamp and then coloured it with Copics.  As I was making this for my nephew I stamped the Happy Birthday and then took a wee number 7 from Elle’s Aplhas to personalise it a wee bit..

Thank you so much for dropping by – hope you have a great day.

You Have My Heart

ffy

The day has finally arrived!  The new Simon Says Stamp Falling For You release is LIVE!

I’m excited to be sharing a card today featuring a gorgeous new set from Simon Says Stamp called Lila’s Heart.  This is a sweet little stamp stamp set designed by Shari Carroll and the gorgeous little girl is inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s little daughter – how sweet!  I created my front shaker panel  by first stamping the new Diagonal Stripes background in Versamark and then heat embossing using Ranger Enchanted Gold powder.  I die cut the panel using dies from the Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Squares and adhered a piece of vellum to create the window.  For my shaker element I used some gorgeous gold sequins and confetti from Lucy’s Cards.  For little Lila, I simply stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with Copics.  I fussy cut her as I don’t own the co-ordinating dies right now and used a Versamark pen to emboss the heart with the same gold powder I used for the stripes.  She was mounted with some foam tape and the card was finished off with the sentiment stamped in Gold Delicata ink onto one of the Simon Says Stamp Tilted Banners.
