We have been a very lucky design team this week – the fabulous peeps at Hero Arts sent us all some amazing goodies to play with and I was lucky enough to receive the Christmas Crystals stamp set and a fabulous cling background stamp (so sorry – I don’t know the name of it!!).

I stamped the kraft panel in Versamark and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder.  I then stamped and embossed the three ornaments in gold and added glitter to the different facets in shades of blue and green.  As you know – glitter is murder to capture in a photo!!  I added a coat of Glossy Accents over the top so the whole thing is SUPER shiny!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Happy Friday folks!  Today I have a couple of cards featuring some of the amazing new products available from Simon Says Stamp.  I started with the Sweet Treats cardstock pack – I absolutely love the colours in this pack.  I cut the panel from Mint using the stitched border die from the new die set Bundle of Stitched Shapes (hello? – The best die set EVER?).  Then I took two of the borders from Stitched Slopes and Hills (these ones don’t cut – they just add a stitched line) and ran it through the Big Shot a few times to give a gorgeous background effect.  To finish I used the little trees from the Village die set and cut them Doll Pink, Audrey Blue and White cardstock.  The sentiment is from Cute Christmas Characters.

My next card features the cute little snowman from Cute Christmas Characters  – a gorgeous stamp set designed by Clearly Besotted especially for SSS.  I used another of the fabulous dies from Stitched Slopes and Hills – SO HAPPY I bought these dies – I’m going to be using them a TON!  The snowfall was done using the Falling Snow stencil with some white embossing paste and a dusting of glitter.

Whilst the challenge theme doesn’t specify Halloween there’s only one way my mind took this colour co-ordinates palette!  I used the gorgeous and endlessly useful Luminary Circles die from the Stamptember release at Simon Says Stamp and made a cute little shaker card.  The bats are from some table confetti I bought at John Lewis!  I inlaid the circles with the cardstock colours from the inspiration graphic and used acetate for the large centre circle and put a few sequins behind it for some dazzle!!  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted’s Fright Night stamp set.

I can’t wait to see how you all interpret this week’s challenge.
