SSS Stephanie’s Birthday Blog Hop !!

Celebrate release Hop

Hello there – today is a very special day – we are celebrating the birthday of the absolutely gorgeous Stephanie Lekauf – Marketing Director of Simon Says Stamp with a fabulous blog hop! I had the absolute honour of meeting Stephanie and Heidi in London a couple of weeks ago and can honestly say that they are both the sweetest girls you could meet.  Whilst Stephanie was away powdering her nose, Heidi slipped the rest of us (yes – a lot of the Wednesday team were there too – along with two of my besties Stephanie Wincott and Debby Hughes) a fabulous CELEBRATION stamp and die set designed in honour of the birthday girl.

It doesn’t come across so well in the picture but I coated the card in a mist of shimmer before adding the balloons and crystals.  Although it looks kind of masculine – it’s very pretty and shimmery in real life – honest!!

So are you ready to carry on hopping?  You should have arrived here from the Simon Says Stamp Blog and your next stop is the lovely Jo Neville (pictured below) but if you get lost anywhere along the way just pop back to the Simon Says Stamp Blog and start from the beginning.

There will be one of Simon’s Fabulous Grab Bags to give away on every blog ! All you have to do is  leave a comment on each of the blog posts (including this one) as you hop along to be entered in the random draws.  You have until Sunday 9th November 12 midday EST to join in!

And just to finish, here’s a wee picture of some of us after our fabulous lunch in London.

Once again the design team have been very lucky and we all received two sets of fabulous Spectrum Noir pencils.   I chose the ones pictured above – Primaries and Essentials.

I stamped the poinsettia image (Pretty Poinsettias by Clearly Besotted) and used the red shades from the Primaries set of pencils.  I used dies from the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Shapes and Stitched Slopes and Hills sets (HOW did I survive without these before??) for the background pattern and the little flag shape.  I love how the red pops againts the crispness of the white card and the black twine ties the sentiment and centre of the flower together.

There are fabulous Give Aways and inspiration from fabulous designers on a daily basis over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog , if you haven’t subscribed by email you may want to so you don’t miss out

More Simon Says Stamp dies – my new favourite!

Did I mention how much I love the new die collections from Simon Says Stamp??  No?  Well i LOOOOOOVE them – I mean, REALLY love them!  The little houses from the Village set and the Stitched Slopes and Hills – they’re amazing!  I know there are lots of other companies out there with similar things (I have quite a few and love them all too) but there’s something about the SSS ones – the addition of the stitch-only dies for the slopes….genius!!  What a world of options they open up!!

Winter village 1I used the Village and slopes dies on my card today – such an easy design to create yet  SOOO Christmassy and simple to mass produce – imagine the different colour options?  The added bling of sequins just adds the right amount of sparkle too!  I think I’ll be making quite a few of these this year!!
