We are showcasing Gina K Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

When I saw the gorgeous Layered Peony Stencil set I immediately thought that I could make a succulent too! The shape of the leaves reminded me of those lovely pink tipped cacti so I thought I’d give it a try and I think it turned out great! I only used one of the stencils – I didn’t use the second layer which adds the details and creates a beautiful peony (my favourite flower actually)

I used Concord & 9th ink in Sprout and Honeysuckle blending the two colours carefully. I stamped a sentiment using CZ Design Birthday Basics in Honeysuckle ink and finished with some droplets of Glossy Accents to look like rain drops!

We are showcasing CZ Design Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I created a couple of Christmas cards for this week’s challenge – got to get ahead if I want to be organised!! Both cards have a background using paper from the Photorealistic Paper Pad from Studio Light – this pad has so many gorgeous natural wood and stone designs. I used the CZ Design Merry & Bright Stamp set on both cards – there is a great range of sentiments in this set and there’s co ordinating dies too!

For the focal point on each card I used the Barn Star Wreath Dies Collection from Spellbinders. I die cut all my elements and arranged them to create the design and adhered it to the card front. My “add a number” part of this challenge is in the form of a sticker from the Tim Holtz Christmas Sticker Book and on the second card I used a small element from a Tim Holtz Christmas Ephemera pack!

Layer It Up / Use Ephemera

We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I really got my creep on this week with this challenge. I used lots of different bits and pieces from the Tim Holtz Emporium! Some are from older versions so I have linked to the most current products available!

On a black A2 card I took a piece of Halloween patterned paper – Halloween Backdrops has some fantastic patterns. I blended some Frayed Burlap Distress Ink around the edge of the paper, ripped one of the corners and distressed the edges with a Distressing Tool.

For the focal point I created a rosette from black cardstock using the Sizzix Vault Rosettes Die and added some subtle shimmer using the Jack O’lantern Distress Crayon. I added one of the skulls from the Halloween Sticker Book and put black gems in it’s eyes – creeeeepy!

I added a few pieces of Halloween Ephemera, some die cut “greenery” using Sizzix Holiday Greens Mini, some Mummy Cloth and a couple of floral Layers Elements.
