Friday Sketchers challenge.

Here is another card I got to playing with last night while the snow fell all around! I had already coloured the Daisy stamp the other day so it was just a case of finding the right paper and embellies to go with her. This is based on the Friday sketchers challenge sketch this week.

Well as it’s now 1am and baby Pippa has some kind of tummy bug – vomited all over her high chair just as we tucked into our fajitas – now there’s an appetite suppresant if ever there was one – I’m off to bed. I’m expecting a not unbroken night’s sleep tonight!!

Cupcake fever!!

I have become absolutley smitten by anything with cupcakes on it lately! There are some gorgeous things around at the moment and I particularly love the papers in the DCWV Sweet Stack. As much as it physically hurts in my heart when I slice into a sheet of it, I know that I can always buy it again!! So anyway, last night when I was supposed to be at Dawny P’s card class (snowed in, hit next doors car trying to get off the drive, thought it best not to risk it!!) – I thought I’d have a go at making a cupcake template as the one I have on my Doodlecharms cart wasn’t right for what I wanted. Anyhoo, I managed to come up with this which I embossed and stickled. I used my nesties for the mount and a little heart punch for the banner at the side. Of course it wouldn’t be finished if I didn’t manage to get my Martha punch on there somewhere too!! This is for this weeks Cuttlebug Spot challenge – thanks Nilda and the DT girls, it allowed me to be all girly and romantic.

2 Sketches 4 U – my first go!

I have been lurking around the 2S4U blog for AGES mustering up the courage to try one of the sketches. For some reason I find them a little daunting. I think the standard of the DT samples and the entries is so high that I fear mine will look naff next to them! Anyhoo, I gave myself a slap and reminded myself that this was about having “fun” and sat down and made this tonight. I just got the new Sweet Stack and whilst wondering what to make got inspired by the gorgeous fruity papers. The fact that they’re all glittery helps! As with my Geisha card, I’m unsure of my sentiment and hope you all get it!!
The apple is cut on the cricut at 31/2 “and is on the Home Accents cart. I’ve used two shades of Bazzil Bling and almost had a palpitation when I cut into it!!
Right, off to watch Pushing Daisies. Night night.
