A Spoonful of Sugar – # 42 Michelle’s sketch

Morning all, just popping on to tell about this weeks challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar. This week Michelle has created a very pretty sketch which was so easy to work with. This is my take on it – yes, I have been shopping again. I’ve been waiting for this little cutie to come back in stock at Funky Kits so when she did she was popped straight in the basket!!! This weeks prize is a £10 voucher for Silly Monkey Crafts so well worth having a go at the challenge – hope you can join in.

Just to add, the papers and sentiment are Crate Paper from their “Blue Hill Collection”. I used to sub to Sarah’s Cards – before the credit crunch – and this was one of their gorgeous scrapbook kits. The sentiment is from a sheet of die-cut accents as are the little flowers and flourishy things. The image is coloured with promarkers and there is the ubiquitous bling in the form of stickles here and there.

I think I should set myself my own personal little challenge to make a card that has NO glitter or bling on it at all!! Hmmm…

Sugar Bowl Challenge.

It’s amazing how difficult it is to make a Christmas card in the middle of March!! Christmas is my most favourite time of year and I have never had a problem making cards for christmas – until now. I don’t know how many times I have sat down to make a card for this fortnight’s Sugar Bowl challenge only to drift off on a tangent and end up with something all-together un-christmassey!! Och well, I have managed it by relying on a sketch (from the Sketch and Stash challenge) and some of my all time favourite papers by Ki Memories. I have coloured the image with promarkers and added lots of ice stickles – which as usual you can’t really see in the photo. I wish someone would invent a “glitter setting” on these cameras!!

Mojo Moday challenge and Charisma Cards

I thought this would go for these two challenges as I have followed the Mojo sketch this week and as Daisy is arguably one of the prettiest stamps around, she would qualify for Charisma’s “Pretty Card” challenge. I have coloured her with Marvy pens and the patterned paper is BG Gypsy. The colours look a wee bit more washed out than they are in real life but I’m a bit pants at this whole photography thing!

Thanks for looking and for all the lovely comments. I really appreciate them.

Hugs.
