The waiting’s over!!

And wasn’t she worth it? OMG – how amazingly amazing are these stamps? Mine came this morning and I IMMEDIATLEY got them mounted up and stamped (had just enough EZ mount without an inch to spare – phew!). They are so easy to colour and are just the most beautiful images. My Daisy stamp is going to get a wee rest for a while now these beauties are on the scene (hope she’s not reading this, she might get jealous!).

This card is my (loose) take on the sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week. I say loose because the image is square and the circles are hearts in a straight line instead of higgeldy piggeldy. I tried to be random but it doesn’t come naturally I’m afraid. The papers are BG Lily Kate and she is coloured with my pro-markers.

Right, my midnight oil is running low so I guess I should head off to bed.

I promise I will catch up on all my comments on your blogs tommorrow – I haven’t been getting the chance to do as much as I’d like so that is definitley on my to do list!!

Nighty, night.

Truly Scrumptious challenge AND Roses on Paper challenge!!

Grr, the colour never comes out right when I try to photograph my cards. I guess it’s because I’m so impatient and should wait for daylight but no, I sit here at night trying to get a half decent photo in the dark!!!

Oh well, you get the idea anyway!! This is taken from the sketch at Truly Scrumptious, a fabby new challenge blog – and you know me – I loves me challenges!!! It’s their first week so hop on over and have a go – it’s a lovely sketch. This is a downloaded image from The Greeting Farm called Dorothy Anya. The Wizard of Oz is one of my all time favourite films and as a youngster I so yearned for a pair of ruby slippers as sparkly as Dorothy’s. Even now when I watch the movie the highlight for me is when the ruby slippers first get put on Dorothy’s feet and she stands there moving them so they sparkle with all their might!! Sigh! I even made a pair once out of some old slippers and a load of red sequins (we threw a fancy dress party for my 30th and I was Dorothy). I have since given them to a little boy who loves those ruby slippers even more than me so I feel they have a good home!! I know I have messed with the colours a little but I have given her sparkly shoes – they’re more what you might call garnet slippers now – a bit pinkier than rubies!!

I am also submitting this over at the Roses on Paper blog where the theme this week is Love and Friendship.

Hey, I MIGHT get to bed before midnight tonight.

My first DT cards for A Spoonful of Sugar!!

So how excited am I to have my cards as part of a design team? I was all a cafuffle over what to do which is why I ended up with 2!! Hopefully for next weeks challenge my nerves won’t get the better of me and I’ll manage to stay a bit more focussed. lol

Oh and I have been given another award, this time by Tonya from Olde Country Creations. She does lovely work so go and have a look. Thank you so much hunny, this is much appreciated.

I’m passing it on to Steph at Much Ado About Nothing as she has the biggest heart and is always so generous to all her crafting buddies.
