Cupcake Crafts challenge #46 – Summer

There is a rather appropriate theme for this week’s challenge over at Cupcake Crafts – It’s Summer, picked by Kathrin. We have had some gorgeous weather in our neck of the woods and as my strawberry plant is now bulging with fruit I was inspired to ink up my fabby SU stamps (Tart and Tangy) and made this card.

I love this stamp set but haven’t used it much since I got it. I don’t know why, it just hasn’t been the right occasion!! Everything on this card is Stampin Up! (except for the rub-on greeting) and I used my Marvy brush markers to ink up the strawberries.

Right, it is Sunday afternoon and I am doing this as a scheduled post. We are entertaining our new neighbours with a barbie in a couple of hours and as the place looks like a bomb’s hit it I’d better skidaddle and get it put right!!

Have a great Monday.

Passion For Promarkers Tutorial – Ruth’s Image.

Weekend workshop

Over at Passion For Promarkers there is a fabulous tutorial written by our wonderful DT member Michelle. We were kindly given a gorgeous image hand drawn by Ruth, one of our wonderfully talented regular visitors to the blog. She is in the process of having her images made into stamps so watch out for her beautiful work in the near future. She has allowed not just the DT to work their magic with this image but everyone who wishes to have a go too. We are hoping to see lots of wonderful entries on the blog so pop over and print it off and have a go at it yourselves (just please make sure you say where it came from and give Ruth the credit she deserves!!).

I have used Stampin Up papers and CS as well as my Promarkers. Looking forward to seeing your designs.

It’s A Boy!!

Those of you who visit me regularly may remember me becoming (prematurely) excited about my SiL being in labour!  As I’m sure you realised it was a false alarm but the good news is that today – baby Benjamin Zac arrived!!  All 8ib 11oz of him!!  That brought a wee tear to my eye (mine were more the 5lb variety)!  But although a bit battered and bruised, mother and baby are fine – phew!  My other SiL is expecting her 4th (we know this one’s another boy too) in 6 weeks so the waiting game isn’t over yet!

I made Kate and Andy this card this afternoon – bought this beautiful WOJ especially for the event!  I have coloured her with PMs and the papers are SU Tea Party.  The sentiment is a rub on.

Right, better go and get some slap on!  Off out tonight for a meal at The Green Room in West Kirby (one of my favourite restaurants).  Can’t wait – I’m startving!
