A Passion For Papertrey Challenge : 50 Shades of Gray!

Gasp – surely we’re not asking for bondage-themed cards over at A Passion For Papertrey??  As fun as that would be, I’m afraid we are talking about the COLOUR gray, not the “Mr Gray”!!  Tee, hee – love the the idea though, lol!!

YES, we want to see shades of gray on your card.  Rainbow and hombre designs are so on trend at the moment so we thought we put a twist on that and make it monochromatic!  Of course I have gone for neither of those styles on my card and have created a floral pattern by pulling out all the little flower images I could find amongst my sets.  I know PTI are in dire need of a new gray in their colour palette (PLEEEASE) but with a bit of creative stamping it is possible to get a variety of shades from your smokey shadow ink (but of course you can use ANY ink you like!!).

{Love You Forever}
Additional supplies :
Stamps: Botanical Silhouettes, Everyday Classics (anniversary sets)
Other: Adhesive rhinestones, pinking shears

I know it looks it but this is NOT a black and white photo!!  As it happens, Cas-ual Fridays have a “Wallpaper” challenge going on at the moment so I’m entering this card in that too!!

Anyhoo, now that you’re heart rate has slowed back to normal, we’d love you to go create something gray for us.  Check out THE BLOG for all the deets.
Have a “gray”t day y’all!

Busy flower arranging!

Evening all!  I’ve been having a jolly old time playing with my Flower Arrangement stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted.  This is such a great set and thought it would make for a perfect Mother’s Day card.  Have to say – that polka dot vase is my favourite – it would go lovely in my kitchen!!!

{Happy Mother’s Day}

Off to bed now – I think I need a holiday to get over the holiday we just had – fresh air is so tiring!!

Fun with fonts!

Our latest challenge over at A Passion for Papertrey is aptly named “Fontabulous”!  What we want to see this time is a creation with more than one font!  Either combine sentiments from different sets (or from within one set as I did here with Mega Mixed Messages) or use one of PTI’s many stamps that feature a combination of fonts.

{Welcome Baby}
Stamps: Mega Mixed Messages, Round and Round.
Ink: Sweet Blush, Raspberry Fizz
Card: Stampers Select White, Raspberry Fizz, RF patterned paper pack.
Others: Sweet Blush twill ribbon, raspberry fizz button, Spellbinders heart nestibilities.

Well, we’re still enjoying a great little break for half term up at Centerparcs in the Lakes.  Its been sooo chilly (even had snow today) but it’s been fabulous as always.  Don’t really want to go home tomorrow but we have to back to school/work sometime I suppose!!

Thanks for stopping by.
