A Passion For Papertrey – Stamp Your Own Background Challenge

Hooray for sun!  I am in such a happy mood because we have had 3 consecutive days of lovely sunny sun and I LOVE it!  Makes you want to drink cocktails and sit by a pool (hmm, wish I had one of those!!).  Anyhoo, onto the reason for the post!  It’s new challenge day over at A Passion For Papertrey and this time we want to see your stamped backgrounds.  Simples!  Because of the glorious weather I was drawn to shades of orange and yellow for my card and used the gorgeous hexagon border stamps from Rosie Posie.  This card really remind me of that film “Bee Movie” – lol!!

Hi Honey

I paired the pattern with a very appropriate little sentiment from Clearly Besotted’s Build A Bug stamp set!  I hope you can pop over to the blog and join in the challenge.

Clearly Besotted – May release!!

Hello all – here with news of the imminent release of new stamps and dies over at Clearly Besotted Stamps.  This release features more stunning designs from Steph and Jenny and again – there’s something for everyone!  One of my favourite sets in this release is “Thinking of You” and features two stunning stem flowers – a lily and an orchid.  I couldn’t wait to colour the lily – they’re one of my favourite flowers.  I used promarkers and added a bit of sparkle with some glitter and gems to finish.

It’s a beautiful weekend here on the Wirral and the Sunday roast is already in the oven!  I’m of to the garden with a cuppa – enjoy your day where ever you are.

Case Study – and it’s only Maile Belles !!!

Hi all – I’m joining in this week over at Case Study challenge blog where the current MUSE is {gasp} Maile Belles!!!!  I love Maile’s clean and graphic style so couldn’t wait to case her!  The card chosen for this week’s inspiration is this one…

And here is my take on it…

macarons (1)

I obviously flipped the layout onto it’s side – I wanted it to look like a box of macarons!  I have used my latest purchase the gorgeous “Bonjour” set from Avery Elle.  This set makes me think of my two lovely friends Kate Lewis and Aimes Wanford.  We went to Ladauree in Covent Garden on one of our girly weekends and had macarons and coffee and they were DEEEE-VINE!

It’s a long weekend here so I’m hoping I might get a bit more inky time squeezed in somewhere – you never know!
