Halloween Spirit – a new Clearly Besotted Challenge!

Challenge

Hello – today sees a new challenge over at the Clearly Besotted Stamps blog and this time the theme is Autumn/Halloween.  I’ve used the fabulous new Halloween Spirit stamp set to create these two little Halloween cards.

Spirit of Halloween 1

I used distress inks for the backgrounds – LOVE the effect you get with these inks – it’s such a therapeutic process too (I literally spend AGES just adding MORE and MORE ink!!!).  I masked off an area and then used a fine-liner pen to draw a sketchy line as a border.  All of the images are from the Halloween Spirit set and I finished off with a few touches of clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.

As always there’s a Clearly Besotted store voucher up for grabs for one lucky winner so get crafting!!

Avery Elle – More Stories

I’m so excited today to be sharing another card using the new Fall Release from Avery Elle. Have you see it yet?  So many adorable stamps and dies!  And you may have noticed something else too!  Another fantasic paper pad – this one was designed by Heather Campbell and is called the Everyday collection.  I love it (I snuck a wee peek at it a few weeks ago on THIS card!!)  The gorgeous little fox is from More Stories – a companion set to Heather’s Storybook set.  I die cut the frame using another new die collection called Finished Frames using an amazing product I picked up at Make The Day Special – a set of adhesive-backed wood veneer papers!  Seriously – I love these and I’ll be back in a few days with another card AND the chance to try them out for yourselves!!  More on that soon!!

Christmas Sparkle

Hi, I’ve got one last peek at the Clearly Besotted September release.  Today I’m featuring Christmas Sparkle – a small set that packs a lot of punch!!  The first card has the tree stamped and embossed in silver along with the GORGEOUS sentiment that is also in the set.  I used the die that co-ordinates with the tree and added some sparkle with Star Dust stickles.

Christmas Sparkle 1

The second card also uses the die but this time to cut a mask which I placed on a white card panel.  I then blended some Mint to To Be pigment ink from Avery Elle to lay down the shape of the tree.  Once that was dry I stamped the tree over the top in Versamark and embossed it in white.  I added white liquid enamel spots to the centres of the snowflakes on the tree and also to a die cut heart and the tree trunk (that I cut from hand).

Christmas Sparkle 2

The sentiment was stamped in the same Mint to To Be ink and the panel was mounted onto to some co-ordinating cardstock.  I finished it off with a little twine bow and the card was done!!

The release goes live at 10pm tonight so make sure you stay up and get your order in – you don’t want to miss out!!

Thanks for stopping by xx
