Avery Elle and Add a Little Dazzle Blog Hop!

It’s Add A Little Dazzle and Avery Elle week!  This week the Avery Elle design team is playing with some amazing metal sheets from Add A Little Dazzle.  These sheets work great with our Elle-ments dies!  After visiting here, be sure to check out the Add A Little Dazzle blog for even more inspiration!  Be sure to comment on our company and designer blogs throughout to week to be entered to win one of two prizes – a $30 Avery Elle Gift Certificate or a prize from Add A Little Dazzle!  Winners will be announced on Monday, October 6th.

The Add a Little Dazzle metal sheets are such a fun material to use – they add a totally different different dimension to your cards and the Avery Elle dies cut like a dream!  I used the black sheet to cut the spider’s web from the Boo Elle-ments collection and the letters from Avery’s Alphas.  The background panel was created using Avery Elle pigment inks in Sapphire and Sugar Plum – I used a direct to paper technique of dragging the ink pad across the panel several times to get the intensity I wanted.

I hope you can join us for the rest of the week – the rest of the design team have some amazing designs to share with you!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Tag It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is ,,,,,,,,

ANYTHING GOES

We are showcasing HERO ARTS PRODUCTS this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I used one of my all time favourite Hero Arts stamps – the Zig Zag Chevron background cling stamp.  I started with a white panel (4″ x 4.25″) and stamped the background in Versamark and embossed in white WOW embossing powder.  I then blended Peacock Feather, Broken China and Tumbled Glass distress inks over the embossing to give a gradient effect.  I chopped a bit out of the middle and popped the two pieces on foam squares leaving a gap for my sentiment.  This is from Avery Elle’s latest release “Look Up” – love the sentiments in this set.  I coated the chipboard stars with white enamel accents (I think I pinched this idea off Julie Ebersol!!) for some extra shine!

Season’s Greetings from Avery Elle!

Hello – this is posting a couple of days late I’m afraid – don’t know where this week is going!!  I have been playing with the scrummy Avery Elle Fall release stamps and dies again – so many amazing sets available – I’m spoiled for choice!

This CAS card features a gorgeous new die that comes with the little holly and berries too – love it.  I used a similar technique to THIS card where I cut thin strips of Avery Elle cardstock and glued them down in rows before running it through my Big Shot with the die. It is a bit fiddly but I love the stripy effect you get.  I cut a panel of white for the card front and die cut the Season’s Greetings from it in the centre.  I then inlaid the stripy die cut onto the white panel and finished off with some sprigs of holly.

Thanks for visiting.
