Hey folks! I’m thrilled to be participating in Day 2 of 2 fantastic blog hop celebrations. Please head to the Simon Says Stamp Blog to see all of yesterdays wonderful inspiration. The latest release from Simon Says Stamp is LIVE so hop on over to the Simon store to check all the awesome goodies in the release. If you spend $30 or more, you’ll also receive the Sunny Fern emboss and cut folder!
I have 4 cards to share with you today featuring some the beautiful designs in the You Are My Favourite release. I hope you like pink!!!
These three cards feature the Sweet Tiny Flowers Die Set in different ways and paired with different backgrounds and sentiments.
On this card I created a bouquet of wrapped flowers using the Bronze Vellum Half Sheet pack. I cut a square of vellum and simply folded it to create the wrapper for the flowers. I finished it off with a bow die cut from the Simon Says Stamp Pretty Bows Die set. I used the CZ Design Happy Combos Stamp and Die set for the sentiment and the background was made using the Receding Squares Stencil. I blended Distress Oxide ink (Saltwater Taffy) then flipped the stencil and blended Spun Sugar. I then spritzed the panel with water to give a soft background effect.

This second card I created a background using the Wavy Background Stamp which I embossed in white then smooshed Distress Oxide inks (Saltwater Taffy, Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo) onto my glass mat, sprayed with water and smooshed the ink together. I love this technique – you never quite know what you’re going to get! I stamped a panel of white card using Versamark and embossing the Mother’s Day sentiment from the Mother’s Day stamp set using Saltwater Taffy Embossing Glaze. I added some die cut Sweet Tiny Flowers around the sentiment panel and finished by giving the whole card a light spritz with Sparkle Shimmer Spray.

This next card also features a Wavy Background embossed and ink smooshed panel using the same colours and technique as the previous card. I created a simple focal point using the Happy Combos Stamp and Die set and more of the Sweet Tiny Flowers – love these wee dies!!

If you’re still with me I have one more card left to share – and it’s pink (guess I was in a girly mood this day)! I stamped and embossed (again) the Wavy Background Stamp then I smooshed Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Ink s onto the watercolour card panel. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Wishes dies from white and pink card and finished off with a pink bow from the Simon Says Stamp Pretty Bows Die Set.

Thank you for indulging my little pink extravaganza and enjoy the rest of your blog hopping journey. The next stop is the fabulous
