I picked up the Raindrops stencil from Memory Box to use on my card this week – I love how versatile stencils are!  I placed it over my white card panel and then used white embossing paste over a section of it.  Before it dried I added some aqua coloured fine glitter for some bling!  I stamped and die cut the bear and umbrella from the Simon Says Stamp Abby’s Flowers stamp set.  and coloured them with Copics.  I also die cut the puddle from the co-ordinating die collection from some Stick It and adhered it to the design and added some glitter to that too!  I mounted my panel on to a Kraft card base from Avery Elle and finished with the Happy Spring sentiment!

Avery Elle: Time for Tea

Hello there.  Today I have a card and gift combo perfect for any occasion when you want to get together with friends for a nice cuppa and a chat!  I used a rustic cream card for this project and created a kind of “ditsy” flower design on it using one of the small detail stamps from the Tea Time stamp set.  I created a card base and also a gift bag topper using the Treat Topper fabulous die.  The bow and tag sentiment are from Home Made

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend and are enjoying some yummy Easter treats!

You’re The Best

I’m back today with one last look at one of the new sets being released this month at Clearly Besotted.  Today I’m sharing a card made with a very stylish little set called “Accent It“.  I thought this set would be great for background building designs so with the help of my MISTI (no way I could’ve lined the stamps up without it) I created this design.  Although the colours are a bit bright for her, I thought the pattern was a bit reminiscent of Orla Kiely – maybe it’s just me!

I used Avery Elle pigment inks in Magenta and Daisy, stamping alternate colours to create the pattern.  I used a piece of plastic as an aid to placing the stamp so it was lined up perfectly each time – I would never have attempted this and got it to work so perfectly without the MISTI – I love this thing!

I finished off the card with some Doodlebug Sprinkles and stamped the sentiment from another new set this month called Sugar and Spice in Onyx  black Versafine ink.

Well that’s it from me.  Don’t forget the new release goes live tonight at 10pm – woohoo!  Check out the rest of the design team for more fabulous examples.
