I’m really starting to think about Christmas now – as soon as the schools go back my mind just naturally starts getting festive!  With this in mind I was immediately drawn to the Deck The Halls stamp set from Taylored Expressions.  I love this set – it has some really fun Christmas critters!  I stamped the penguin then masked him off and sponged some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink behind him.  He was coloured with Copics and and had a few blobs of Glossy Accents added to finish off.  This is a VERY CAS card for me – not sure if it’s missing something actually!  Maybe I need to add some sequins?!

Avery Elle – Christmas Florals

Hello – popping in with a card  I have over on the Avery Elle blog today featuring the gorgeous Christmas Florals stamps and dies.  I created an aperture in a panel of white card using the Sweet Scallops die set and inlaid a black frame.  I used Cherry pigment ink to stamp and die cut some of the poinsettia blooms and Jungle ink for the foliage.  The sentiment was stamped inside the aperture and the the top panel popped up with foam adhesive.

Hope you’ve had a fun weekend where ever you are in the world!!

MFT Card Contest … well, why not!

Hello there – I’m sliding in a couple of cards I made after being inspired by the fabby contest going on over at My Favourite Things!  I recently had a bit of an MFT shopping spree after the new release just came out so this was the perfect chance to test drive a few of the latest products!

My first card features the Die-Namics Stitched Cover Up Companion (try saying that after a few Proseccos!!) paired with what could quite possibly be one of my favourite stamps ever – that wee surprised gnome is just adorable!  I used the Brick Wall stencil to create my sponged background using distress inks.  I used the same colour palette to colour the flowers and the gnome himself.  I think this cover up die is SO useful.  I can see me using it TONS!

Happy Birthday

As soon as I saw the samples the MFT design team made with the Soda Pop Bottles Die-Namics I knew they were going to MINE!  I have a friend who LOVES coke so was dying to make a card for him for his birthday.  The background was sponged with Distress Inks in Pumice Stone and Gathered Twigs.  To create the “bubbles” I just flicked on some water – so chuffed how it turned out!

You're a ClassicPrint

I wish I had time to play with these goodies a bit more but the deadline to enter the contest is fast approaching and I’m sadly out of time!  If only I could craft 24 hours a day!!
