Clearly Besotted April Challenge

Well Spring has well and truly sprung here in my little corner of the world and everywhere I turn I’m seeing beautiful blossoms, tulips and daffs!!!  It’s all very uplifting and makes me feel HAPPPEEEEEE!!!  So what better theme for the April Challenge at Clearly Besotted than SPRING!! The latest release from Clearly Besotted is chock full of fabulous Spring-like stamps and dies but even if you haven’t managed to pick anything new up this month, Steph has TONS of sets in her inventory that would be perfect for this challenge.

April Challenge - Spring

So how’s this for some Springtime inspiration?  I used the new Pretty Petals Plus stamp set – SUCH a versatile little set – and stamped it using Avery Elle pigment inks in Mimosa and Fizz.  I added a wee bit of extra detail with a Copic to the flower centres too.  The Fabulous Friend sentiment is from one of my favourite CBS sets, Say It In Style.

Make sure you check out Steph’s blog, Stamping and Sharing for all the deets of the challenge (theres a great prize up for grabs as always!) and for lots more inspiration from the amazing DT.

Thanks for stopping by. xxx

Avery Elle April/May Release Blog Hop!

AEBlogHopBadge

Hey everyone – if hopping along you should have arrived here from Brenda Weaver’s wonderful blog – are you enjoying everything you’ve seen so far?  I’m so delighted to be joining in on my first ever Avery Elle Blog Hop – this release is just amazing and I’m sure you’ll agree – there is something for everyone!  I have two cards to share with you both showcasing the stunning Write It stamp set.  This is a fabulous calligraphy style sentiment set (sooooo trendy right now) that you are going to just fall in love with.

Seriously Awesome (Write It)For the first card I used Avery Elle card stock in Daisy and Sea Glass and stamped the sentiment with gold Delicata ink.  Like that background pattern?  It from another new set being released called Woodgrain and More!

Write ItFor the next card  I stamped the sentiment in Spiced Marmalade distress ink and then went over it with a water brush to spread the ink around.  I also added some splatters with the brush too.  When it was all dry I stamped over the original stamp with Versafine Onyx Black.

The next stop on the hop is the gorgeous and talented (and so sweet) Heather Campbell.  If you want to go back and start at the beginning, the order is listed at the end of this post.

Clearly Besotted Sneak Peaks – day 4

Good morning – it’s the weekend – yay – sadly I have to work today – boo – but when I’m done it’s Saturday night – yay!!

I’m here today to share the last of the peaks of the new release from Clearly Besotted – available tonight at 10pm BST.  This month’s release is fantastic – a fact I’m sure has not been missed by all you devoted CBS fans out there!!!

Pretty Petals tulips

This card and tag combo features the gorgeous tulip image and die from Pretty Petals.  I know I’m fairly predictable but this just lends itself to my favourite all-time colour combo!  I’ve used some of my new Avery Elle supplies here – namely the inks and cardstock.  That gorgeous green is the Lemon Grass colour and the red on the tulips is Cherry – yummy!  The sentiments are from everyone’s favourite go-to set – A Little Sentimental (seriously, how did I survive BALS!!)

So anyway – please hop over to Steph’s blog for more inspiration from the DT and GDT’s and make sure you stay up for the release at 10pm (BST) – you know how these sets have a habit of disappearing FAST!
