Avery Elle – Thank You Die

Hello – I’m popping today with a card I created using the gorgeous Thank You die from Avery Elle.  I absolutely adore the font style and size of this die – it makes the perfect focal point on a card.

Thank you

I used Avery Elle smooth white card for my card base and cut a strip of patterned paper from the Avery Elle Everyday paper pad.  I cut a narrower strip of co-ordinating paper from the same collection and adhered them onto the card front.  One of the flag shapes from the Dotted Elle-ments set was cut from vellum and adhered onto the layered paper strips.  The Thank You was cut from white cardstock and glued in place over the vellum which also helps hold it in place so no glue is visible.  I finished it all off with some twine and a few Doodlebug sprinkles in silver glitter.

Remeber to visit the Avery Elle design blog every day for lots of amazing creations from the rest of the team.  Also, a date for your diary … the CHA release will be available on 26th February.  Can’t wait to start sharing my designs with you!

Avery Elle : Made With Love

Hi there – I’m over on the Avery Elle blog today sharing a card I made with the gorgeous Made With Love stamp set.  As my 15 year old son Daniel has JUST found a new obsession with knitting, this set is absolutely perfect!  I used the Custom Panels dies to make my front panel and layered some paper from the Avery Elle Brights paper pad .  I stamped the ball of wool image in London Fog Memento ink and coloured it with Copics.  I finished it off with a cute mini clothes peg and some co-ordinating twine.

I couldn’t finish this post today without mentioning what I was up to this past weekend!  I was honoured to attend the wedding of my beautiful friend Amy Wanford (Aimes).  Mrs Gray, as she is now known, looked AMAZING (as you can see from the photo below – WOW!) as did her lovely new hubby Chris.  The wedding was held in the stunning Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and was the most perfect day ever.  I caught up with my fabulous friend Kate too – it’s been far too long!!

Happy New Year!

Teaser Time

So here I am with the last of my samples for the Clearly Besotted January release teasers.  I hope you’ve managed to get lots of inspiration from Stephanie and the design team – they are all so amazing!  If you’re itching to get your hands on some of the new products then your wait is almost over – the release goes live tonight (10pm BST) at Clearly Besotted, Simon Says Stamp and Ellen Hutson – woo hoo!

Today I am sharing a card using the new Bon Voyage stamp set which has three fabulous silhouette city skylines and some gorgeous fonts and sentiments.  I probably should’ve shared this card on day 1 with it being a Happy New Year card but hey ho!!  I’ve been at it again with the ink blending – getting quite addicted to it!  I also sprayed (perhaps a little heavy handedly) some Calico shine spray over the top of the blended ink.  The London skyline was stamped in black over the top and then I added some little fireworks from the Set The Scene stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and happy shopping!
