Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

My Favourite Things is one of my favourite stamp companies – they have such fantastic designs and everything just speaks to my style of cardmaking – clean lines, amazing dies etc. I am always excited to play with their products and have used three of my favourite products on my card today – the flamingo dies, the leafy greenery dies and the stitched vertical cover up die. To give it some fun texture I cut the foliage from some awesome green glitter cardstock (although I’d like to make it again and use felt just for a different look)! It’s really sparkly in real life but as usual the camera just doesn’t do it justice!!

Simon Says Stamp March 2016 Card Kit

I’ve getting rather busy with the AMAZING March 2016 card kit from Simon Says Stamp. I am IN LOVE with this kit and cannot believe how much value is packed into it! Having the co-ordinating dies to go with the stamp set is SO fabulous! I’ve made a total of 4 cards so far using the kit and only a few extra dies from my Simon Says Stamp collection. Hope you like them!! I thought the best place to start was to create a bunch of Peeps and then just go from there! They are white heat embossed and then coloured with Zig Clean Colour Markers before getting a liberal coating of Distress Rock Candy Glitter!

This card was inspired by another I made at Christmas (you can find the details HERE). I was asked to make a Valentines card for a friend of mine with a duck-egg blue and red combo (one of my favourites!) and so thought I’d put my Minc to good use and create this. The sheet music is from an image I found on the internet which I printed onto vellum on my laser printer. I then added the mint-coloured foil with the Minc and die cut the panel using the Wonky Stitches die from Avery Elle. The card base is from the Caribbean Collection of notecards (Avery Elle also) and I created a watercolour piece to go under the vellum just to give a subtle background texture.

I printed off a sheet of solid black toner and then ran it through the minc with more of the mint foil and also some red. I then die cut my pieces and assembled them on the front of the card.
