Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

MAKE IT GIRLY

We are showcasing HERO ARTS PRODUCTS this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

As soon as I saw this Hero Arts stamp set in action I knew it needed to go right into my basket!  I tried lots of different colour combos but the one I favoured was this one using a mixture of Hero Arts, Simon Says Stamp and Ranger dye inks (listed below).  The top layer was also restamped using Versamark and clear embossed to add even more dimension.  I love the final look of these gorgeous orchid images.  To colour match the sentiment I used the Wild Orchid dye ink from Ranger and coloured a piece of card before die cutting with the “birthday” from A Tag For All from Avery Elle.

I decided to go back to an “oldie but goodie” technique with todays card and did some paper piecing with the Flutter By stamp set from lawn fawn.  I really like this stamp set – it’s really fun to colour but equally good for paper-piecing!  Love the colours from the Let’s Polka pad too – so bright and Summery!

We are 7 years old !! Woo Hoo! the last few years have flown by in a flash, they do say that time flies when you’re having fun and we are having a blast!

Yay – Happy Birthday Simon Says Stamp – 7 years and going as strong as ever!  I am so honoured to be a wee part of the Simon family and wish them the best of everything for many more years to come.  One of my favourite sets is the Artful Flowers stamp set.  These are a dream to watercolour and I love the soft, loose design of the flowers.  also love the Wishing and Sending dies and stamps – especially when I use them with glitter card!!!
