You Are Crazy Cool!

Oops, popping a day late with this week’s Avery Elle DT post!  My card today features the fab new set Simply Said: Crazy.  The die has a mat layer too – love it.  I paired it with the new Beary Sweet set too.  Gosh, it’s strange to be making a non-Christmas card – feels like all I’ve done for weeks!!

Avery Elle – Pop Up Wreath

Hello there on this frosty November afternoon!  Today I have a card created with the ingeniously clever Pop Up Wreath die from Avery Elle.  I ran the die through my Big Shot with a white panel cut to A2 size and mounted it onto a Sea Glass card base (from the Caribbean Collection note card pack).  I found a jar of Glitter Ritz fine glitter in a shade called Duck Egg which perfectly matched the Sea Glass colour so I took a piece of Stick It adhesive and put one side onto a sheet of thick copy paper (I didn’t use cardstock as I wanted it to be light).  I then used the bow dies and removed the top sheet from the paper giving me my sticky pieces ready to cover in the glitter.  I then used some Glossy Accents to add spots all over the wreath and added the glitter to them too.  Once dry I assembled the card and popped up the branches of the wreath – wish you could see the glitter properly – it’s SUPER-SPARKLY!!

Avery Elle – Penguin Greetings

Hey there peeps!  I’ve been playing with a great stamp set from Avery Elle called Penguin Greetings!  It features a cute little penguin family all decked out in their winter gear – I love it!  I started with a piece of watercolour card and sponged some cracked pistachio distress ink onto the centre area.  I also splattered some of the same colour onto the panel and then ran it through my Bigshot with the Wonky Stitches Elle-ments (can’t get enough of this die – may favourite right now)!  I kept the colouring of the penguins quite simple using Distress inks and then die cut the sentiment using another new set from Avery Elle called Holly Jolly Elle-Ments.
