Avery Elle … More Party Animals

Popping in with a quick post today to share my card using the fabulous More Party Animals stamp set from Avery Elle.  The previously released balloon animal sets have always been hugely popular so to now have an outline version of these images is great – they’re so fun to colour!!

Avery Elle – Floral Frame

Hey  – today I have a couple of cards made using the STUNNING Floral Frames stamp set and dies from the latest Spring 2016 release from Avery Elle.  I have tried numerous times in the past to master the “no-line” colouring technique but failed miserably.  It always turned out as a HOT MESS, lol!  Rather than let it beat me I decided this stamp would be a great one to try again as it has lovely clean lines and open flowers.

For the first card I stamped the image in Memento Angel Pink ink and coloured it with Copic markers.  I die cut the sentiment from the A Tag For all die set in white and then coloured it in a ombre effect again with Copics.  I also used my favourite die – Wonky Stitches to create a bit more depth and dimension for the frame.

The second card also uses the no-line technique, this time stamped in Memento Desert Sand.  I think I’ve gone from hating this technique to LOVING it!

Avery Elle Spring 2016 Release – Sentimental

Happy LEAP DAY everyone!  Today I am sharing a card featuring one of the runaway success stories of the newest release from Avery Elle (to be fair, the whole release has been a runaway success – wow!).  The Sentimental stamps and dies are probably one the most useful and unique sets on the market right now.  It’s been suggested that I may need some sort of intervention over my heavy use of the Wonky Stitches die set (my most precious!!) but as I look at this Sentimental set – it may well be joining it!!  I have paired the HUGS die (arguably my favourite from the set) with the STUUUUNNNING Canopy stamp set.  I LOVE this stamp.  It’s so pretty.  I heat embossed the stamp in white and then used some Zig Clean Colour Markers to water colour inside.  I love the bright, vibrant colour you get from the Zig markers – they are fantastic.

Sentimental

I used Aquamarine cardstock (from a trimmed down notecard)  and die cut the hugs sentiment and a strip for layering behind my front panel.  To add a delicate detail to the front of the panel I used the scalloped edge from the Dotted Border Dies – another essential in your die collection!!
