Avery Elle – You’re Invited

Hello – I’m here today with a cheerful birthday invitation using the You’re Invited die from Avery Elle.  This sunshine yellow and aquamarine colour combo is so fresh – I love these two colours together!  I used papers from the Everyday and Brights collections and die cut some balloons  and simply added some twine for the strings.  A simple, and easy to mass-produce party invitation which would be good for a girl or a boy!

Avery Elle – Thank You Die

Hello – I’m popping today with a card I created using the gorgeous Thank You die from Avery Elle.  I absolutely adore the font style and size of this die – it makes the perfect focal point on a card.

Thank you

I used Avery Elle smooth white card for my card base and cut a strip of patterned paper from the Avery Elle Everyday paper pad.  I cut a narrower strip of co-ordinating paper from the same collection and adhered them onto the card front.  One of the flag shapes from the Dotted Elle-ments set was cut from vellum and adhered onto the layered paper strips.  The Thank You was cut from white cardstock and glued in place over the vellum which also helps hold it in place so no glue is visible.  I finished it all off with some twine and a few Doodlebug sprinkles in silver glitter.

Remeber to visit the Avery Elle design blog every day for lots of amazing creations from the rest of the team.  Also, a date for your diary … the CHA release will be available on 26th February.  Can’t wait to start sharing my designs with you!

Find Vodka and party!!

Hello again – this is my second post today – scroll down for my Clearly Besotted sneak peek card!!

I’ve been playing with more gorgeous Avery Elle goodies – I love that sentiment from Berry Good – seems like a good philosophy in life!  I am also in love with the Dotted Borders dies – an essential in anyone’s craft supply arsenal!

Dotted borders

I started by stamping and white embossing the lemon from Berry Good and then used water colours to paint it.  Once it was dry I embossed the sentiment in gold.  On the white panel I blended some Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and then added a few splatters of gold Heidi Swapp spray.  I added a little bundle of gold thread under the lemon die cut and then added it to the front of the panel.  I cut a piece of Avery Elle Daisy cardstock and die cut the edge with the zig zag border die.  I wrapped some more of the gold thread around the yellow panel and popped it up on the white panel with foam adhesive.  I mounted the panel onto a Mint To Be card base and finished it off with a few gold sparkle Doodlebug sprinkles.

Don’t forget to check out the Avery Elle blog every day for lots of inspiration from the amazing design team.
