Avery Elle Winter 2019 Release Blog Hop!

It’s time for the brand new release from Avery Elle  – hurrah!  We have some amazing designs to share with you over so grab a cuppa and join us for our design team hop! I’m featuring a card showcasing some of the fabulous new products – the Cloud Mat Die and the seriously cute Cupids stamp set!
I decided to paper-piece the Cloud Mat die using one of the papers from the Create Magic kit – the great thing about this technique is that you have both the positive and negative pieces from the die so I’ll be sharing a card in the next few weeks using the rest of the pieces from this card – two for the price of one!
Once I made my cloud background and adhered it to my card base I die cut some white card using the previously released Pierced Cloud dies to add some grounding (which sounds weird considering we’re talking about clouds!) for the images.  I stamped the Cupids and coloured them with Copics before die cutting them.  I added a bit of shimmer to the hearts and the bows and arrows using Copic Spica pens and stamped the sentiment in red ink.

Get Cracking On Christmas – November 2019

Hey!  It’s the 3rd Thursday so that means it’s time to Get Cracking For Christmas!  Jenn, Libby, Chari, Cheiron and myself have been challenging ourselves all year to try and get ahead on our holiday cards and I’m not gonna lie, I’ve not been the best this year at keeping my promise to myself to make a Christmas card every month – must do better!  At least I have a few though – and here’s another to add to my bundle!

I used a stamp set of my own design from Avery Elle called Holiday Skates.  I’m really rubbish at ice skating but I do love to see skates hanging all festive and gorgeous at this time of year!

I used some patterned paper from the Avery Elle Holiday paper pad and arranged my images how I wanted using foam tape and adhesive.

I finished off with a simple sentiment and some subtle shimmer using Copic Spica pens.

Make sure you pop over to the other girls and see what festive inspiration they have for you this month

Avery Elle … Cocoa Stand

Hey there, this week we’re showcasing the gorgeous Cocoa Stand  stamp set from the Avery Elle Fall release.  I just LOVE Heather’s Peek-a-Boo designs and the Cocoa Stand set may be my favourite so far!  That cute polar bear just makes me melt!
I started with a white card base and blended some Tumbled Glass distress ink to give a hint of snowy sky and splattered some white paint over it so add some subtle snowfall.
I stamped the images I wanted for my card in New Moon dye ink and then coloured them with Copics before die-cutting.

I assembled my scene using foam tape and Avery Elle liquid adhesive and then finished off with some glossy accents on the bows and fairy lights and some distress glitter on the snow.
