Get Cracking On Christmas – December!

Ok, so I KNOW I started 2021 with good intentions but I haven’t been the best at keeping my promise to myself to create my holiday cards throughout the the year. 2022 will be different – I swear!

HOWEVER! December has been a good month and I have actually created a number of cards using some great Pinkfresh Studio products which make mass producing a breeze!

Using stencils as my main focal point I created about 20 different cards (with some slight variations) and added elements to give them some dimension and sparkle.

This first card uses the Thrill of Hope Stencil. I added some die cut vellum foliage using the Curvy Leaves die and added some glitter accents with the stencil and some texture paste. I created the sentiments using the Perfect Sentiments Holiday hot foil plate and die – LOVE this.

The second card uses the Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Botanical Background stencils. I combined this with the sentiment from Phrase Builder Happy Holidays die set.

I hope you have all enjoyed creating this year and have managed to be more successful at your planning than I have!

Avery Elle… More Circle Critter Tags

Hi there, here today sharing a fun way to use our More Critter Circle Tags in a different way.  I saw someone on Pinterest who had used our Christmas tags in a similar way but I can’t find the post now so if you’re reading this and this was you, thanks for the inspiration!!

I’m in full Christmas mode right now making lots of last minute bits and pieces for the big day.  So when I sat down to create with the new More Critter Circle Tags from the Winter release I just couldn’t get my mojo on!  So I thought, why not make them Christmassey?  So with a dig through my festive sets I found a wee holly sprig and a candy cane and dressed the critters for the holiday season.

I die cut 6 of the scalloped circles using the co-ordinating dies from the Critter Circle Tags set (2 for each design).  I then stamped and die cut 3 of the circle critter stamps and coloured them using Copics.  I also stamped, coloured and die cut some candy canes from the Santa Jaws set and the holly image from the Peek-a-Boo Train stamp set.

To assemble the project I took some paper straws and flattened one end.  Then I sandwiched this between two red scalloped circle die cuts and adhered the stamped critter circle image to the front.  I added the holly and candy canes and finished off with a tag from the Party Tags die set stamped with greetings from the Seasonal Simple Sentiments set.  I think these would look great as an embellishment on the front of a gift or as table décor for a Christmas party!

Ellen Hutson… 12 Tags of Christmas

Ho, Ho HELLO! I’m thrilled to be participating as a guest designer for this year’s 12 Tags Of Christmas event over on the Ellen Hutson LLC Blog! Each day, one of the EH Design Team members has been paired with a guest (which today is MEEEE!) and I’m so happy to be sharing the stage today with the fabulous Lisa Spangler!!!

Each day the tags we create are inspired by a classic holiday carol or song. Can you guess what today’s is? That’s right ….

LET IT SNOW!

Lately I have become re-obsessed with my Gemini Foil Press and so the first thing I thought to use for my snowy-themed tags was the Essentials By Ellen Snowflake Hot Foil Stamp. I used the Essentials By Ellen Farmhouse Tags Dies as my base.

I created 4 tags using different coloured foils and embellished them using the Sweet Snowflakes Dies from My Favourite Things with glitter paper and white card finished off with some gemstones in the centres of the die cut snowflakes.

The foiled sentiments on each of the tags was created using the gorgeous Yana’s Christmas Sentiments Foil and Die set from Spellbinders.

The last of the tags I created uses the foil sheet negative space left from foiling with the Snowflake Hot Foil Stamp. For this I grabbed the Pinkfresh Studios Solid Foil Plate and foiled the tag so that the solid area foiled leaving the snowflake as the negative space. I love how there’s no more waste of the precious foil!

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit! And thanks to Ellen and the team for letting me play along with these fantastic products.
