Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Winter Blues Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too
This week the challenge is
GIFTS
We are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
What better gift than that of booze? Ok, any drink will do but in my case there’s nothing more festive than a glass of fizz!! I made a bottle tag by die cutting a circle from a panel of red card stock and scoredacross the top part to create a tag.
To decorate it I made a snowy scene using the Puffy Cloud Border dies from Lawn Fawn and adhered them on the bottom of the tag.
I used the Tim Holtz Vault Winter Wishes snowman and the tree and gift from Christmas Minis dies and added Rock Candy Glitter to EVERYTHING and added them to the winter scene.
Finally I used the Sizzix Sideorder Letterboard set to create my sentiment – Be Merry (well if you insist!!)

WINTER BLUES
We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
My card this week is a texture extravaganza!! I started by creating a textured panel form Distress Watercolor Cardstock and used the Speckles Stencil with Distress Texture paste. I added Distress Oxide ink over the top in Tumbled Glass spritzed with water and then splattered with Picked Fence Distress paint and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.. I spritzed again with Tsukineko Frost Shimmer Spray. Before adhering it to the card I roughed up the edges of the panel using a Tonic Paper Distresser
I set that aside to dry and got on with die cutting all my pieces for the front of the card. I used some Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Dies ( the ones I used are not available at this time but there are other beautiful alternatives here) and cut them from white card then coated them with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I did the same with the Winter word die from the Tim Holtz Hoilday Worlds: Script die set.
In the centre I die cut the snowflake and ice skates in white from the Vault Winter Wishes die set and coloured the heels of the boots with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I laced the boots and added tiny pompoms to the ends of the laces. I cut a second snowflake from blue and layered them together.
To finish I added Distress Rock Candy Glitter to the tops of the boots and adhered everything in place.
