Case Study – turning up the heat!

Happy Saturday everyone – hope you’re enjoying your weekend?  I’ve enjoyed, erm ENDURED a week without the hubby whilst he’s been off skiing and although I’ve been struck down with a nasty cold for most of it, I have managed to fit in a bit of crafty time here and there.  I have also had a bit a of a play with my blog – just fancied a change – what do you think??  There’s still some bits and pieces I want to tweak but on the whole I think it’s ok!!

So my card today was inspired by Donna Mikasa who is the current muse over at Case Study Challenge. Whilst hers screams “cool” I kinda veered the other way and went HOT!!  Well, we need some warmth at this time of year, don’t we??  (Australians need not answer that!!!).

merry Christmas Reindeer (1)I used my Martha Stewart mini score board to deboss some lines on to my mat then brayered over it with Dried Marigold distress ink.  The sentiment from the new Clearly Besotted Say it in Style set was then heat embossed in white.  To make it pop a wee bit more I rubbed some Spiced Marmalade DI just around the sentiment – adds just a touch of dimension!  Well, I am being a taxi for the best part of the afternoon so better get some jobs done!  Have a lovely weekend everyone xxx
