We are showcasing Doodlebug Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I went with a “more is more” approach with this card! I love the Simon Says Stamp Autumn Leaves Dies and used them with some different cardstocks and Doodlebug Designs Buffalo Check & Woodgrain 6×6 paper pad & Floral Graph Rainbow Petite Prints Paper Pad. I die cut a whole bunch of different leaves and added some ink blending around them for a bit more depth. For a true autumnal feel I die cut some pumpkins using Honeybee Stamps Lovely Layers Fireplace Falloween Add-on Dies – I love the texture patterns on these!

O a white base A2 card I used masking tape to mask a band across the card and blended ink along both edges leaving a clear band across the middle of the card – perfect to stamp my sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Graceful Swans Stamps.

I added my die cut leaves and pumpkins arranged along the inked edges, added some sequins and finished with a twine bow for rustic perfection!!

We are showcasing Altenew Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

My card is all about the embossing this week! I picked up the Altenew Mini Sentiments Embossing Folder which has a bunch of really useful sayings and is just a different way to include a sentiment on your card other than stamping or die cutting. I embossing a piece of white card ten cut it down so I had individual embossed sentiment strips which I can customise to any colour for future projects! For this autumnal card I ran a Fossilised Amber distress oxide ink pad over the raised letters to compliment the rest of the colours in the card.

I have said it before but I am IN LOVE with Simon’s 3D Embossing Folders – that are so detailed and incredible to work with. This Simon Says Stamp Forest Floor Embossing Folder is my latest favourite. I embossed a piece of Distress Watercolour Cardstock (die cut using the SSS A2 Rectangle Dies) and then used Distress Watercolour Pencils to add colour to the embossed areas. To finish I blended some ink around the edges and adhered it to an A2 card base and added some twine.
