One of my favourite products in the STAMPtember release is the GORGEOUS mini set Hello Friend.  For a wee set it packs a lot of punch!  The possibilities are endless with this set and I am totally in LOVE with the sentiments.  I started by creating a white panel slightly smaller than my A2 card base and used Post-It tape to mask off a strip across the bottom half.  I blended a combination of Duckling and Sunshine dye ink from Simon Says Stamp over the tape and then stamped the flowers randomly along the edge to create a border.  I removed the tape (LOVE that bit) and stamped the fun “thanks” sentiment in the negative space.

More Simon Says Stamp dies – my new favourite!

Did I mention how much I love the new die collections from Simon Says Stamp??  No?  Well i LOOOOOOVE them – I mean, REALLY love them!  The little houses from the Village set and the Stitched Slopes and Hills – they’re amazing!  I know there are lots of other companies out there with similar things (I have quite a few and love them all too) but there’s something about the SSS ones – the addition of the stitch-only dies for the slopes….genius!!  What a world of options they open up!!

Winter village 1I used the Village and slopes dies on my card today – such an easy design to create yet  SOOO Christmassy and simple to mass produce – imagine the different colour options?  The added bling of sequins just adds the right amount of sparkle too!  I think I’ll be making quite a few of these this year!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Happy Friday folks!  Today I have a couple of cards featuring some of the amazing new products available from Simon Says Stamp.  I started with the Sweet Treats cardstock pack – I absolutely love the colours in this pack.  I cut the panel from Mint using the stitched border die from the new die set Bundle of Stitched Shapes (hello? – The best die set EVER?).  Then I took two of the borders from Stitched Slopes and Hills (these ones don’t cut – they just add a stitched line) and ran it through the Big Shot a few times to give a gorgeous background effect.  To finish I used the little trees from the Village die set and cut them Doll Pink, Audrey Blue and White cardstock.  The sentiment is from Cute Christmas Characters.

My next card features the cute little snowman from Cute Christmas Characters  – a gorgeous stamp set designed by Clearly Besotted especially for SSS.  I used another of the fabulous dies from Stitched Slopes and Hills – SO HAPPY I bought these dies – I’m going to be using them a TON!  The snowfall was done using the Falling Snow stencil with some white embossing paste and a dusting of glitter.
