Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Thanks/Thanksgiving Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too
This week the challenge is
SPARKLE AND SHINE
We are showcasing MEMORY BOX Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
For my cards this week I’ve used a oldie but goldie Memory Box die – Woodland Branch. This is such a great die – everyone should have it in their stash!
Card 1: I started with some Distress Woodgrain cardstock and used Saltwater Taffy and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides “smooshed” onto my craft mat spritzed with water. I added some Sparkle Shimmer Spray and some droplets of Saltwater Taffy Spray Stain and set aside to dry.
Meanwhile I die cut the Woodland Branches and some other foliage from Tim Holtz Vault Festive Wreath as well as the bow from that same set. I added colour using Distress Watercolour Pencils (My new obsession) and coated everything in Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I die cut the words Merry and Bright from Tim Holtz Holiday Words: Script and coloured using Saltwater Taffy Spray Stain. I finished with some sequins and gems for extra SPARKLE AND SHINE!!
Card 2:
I smooshed Saltwater Taffy and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides onto a Distress Watercolour card panel with water then spritzed it with Sparkle Shimmer Spray and Saltwater Taffy Spray Stain. I added a few spots of Picket Fence Distress Paint when the panel had fully dried.
I die cut it using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. I gathered more of the Woodland Branches and foliage from Tim Holtz Vault Festive Wreath and assembled and glued them together. I die cut a bow from the same inked cardstock as the base panel using the Simon Says Stamp Perfect Bow and glued it onto the gathered bundle.
To finish I die cut the word Believe from Tim Holtz Holiday Words: Script and coloured it with Saltwater Taffy Spray Stain and Sparkle Shimmer spray and added sequins and tiny gems.
