Can’t. Stop. Foiling!!

To say I’m in love with the Heidi Swapp Minc Mini machine would be an understatement!  I haven’t stopped using it since I got it and absolutely LOVE how it has opened up so many possibilities for creating truly personalised cards that look like they came from a shop!

The cards I’m sharing today were a last minute request from my son Dan last night.  He asked for 3 cards for his music teachers – no other teachers, just the music ones!  He respects and admires them so much and wanted to give them a card and a little gift for Christmas (thanks for the one days’ notice though son!!).  I thought it would be nice to give them a musical theme so found a free file on the web with sheet music and printed one of my favourite pieces, Carol Of The Bells onto some vellum using a laser printer.  I fitted 4 to a sheet and ran two through my Minc with silver foil and 2 with gold.  I die cut some foliage using the Memory Box berry twig die and a couple of the new foliage dies from My Favourite Things.  The sentiment was printed again using a laser printer – I downloaded the free fonts and just typed the sentiment I wanted!!

I have lots more foiled cards to share – still churning out last minute ones – never really have enough!!

Thanks for stopping by xxx

A few people have asked for links etc so here they are below:

MFT Guest Designer day 2 (and guess what? More Christmas!!)

Hi there – back again with a few more creations using the MFT October release goodies.  First up I have a couple of cards I created using the Pure Innocence set, Dashing By.  I love theses designs, they are so easy to colour!  I used Zig Clean Colour markers for the little girl and created a water coloured panel for the background.  The sentiment is from Gift Tag Greetings.

The second card features the Radial Stitched Circle Die-namics again with a watercoloured backdrop.

My final prpoject features the AMAZING Tag Builder 4 Blueprints Die-namics.  What a fantastic set!  I paired them up with the Winter Wonderland set and the fabulous Gift Tag Greetings stamp set.

MFT Guest Designer – getting my Christmas on! (plus a giveaway)

What’s that you say??  64 days till Christmas??  Just as well I’ve had some yummy new products from the MFT October release to play with to help me along with my Christmas card projects!  Yay, I’m super excited to guest designing this month over on the My Favourite Things blog and today I have the first of 6 projects to share with you.

I adore the new Winter Wonderland stamp set and thought the Snow Drifts cover plate would make the perfect backdrop for my mountain village scene!  I used the cover plate to cut some glitter card and adhered it in place on my card front (minus the frame).  The houses, deer and trees were stamped, die cut then coloured with Zig Clean Colour Markers and arranged with over top with plenty of foam tape.  To finish I cut two banners using the Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 4 and white heat embossed the sentiment – also from Winter Wonderland.

My second card just makes me happy – I give you, Buddy the Elf (in paper form)!  My absolute favourite Christmas movie of ALL TIME is Elf and so instead of using the Santa Suit Die-namics for Santa, I’ve made Buddy’s suit.  I started with a green card base and cut the suit elements from gold, black and green card.  His suit has some gold detail so I used some of the smaller elements from some of the new stamp sets from this release and gold embossed them. The collars are cut from felt too – fun!!!

The last of my projects for today features another AMAZING set called Snow Flurry (psst, scroll down for details about you can win this stamp set ;).  I went a bit crazy with watercolour paints and white embossing powder and LOVE the end result!
