Christmas Sparkle

Hi, I’ve got one last peek at the Clearly Besotted September release.  Today I’m featuring Christmas Sparkle – a small set that packs a lot of punch!!  The first card has the tree stamped and embossed in silver along with the GORGEOUS sentiment that is also in the set.  I used the die that co-ordinates with the tree and added some sparkle with Star Dust stickles.

The second card also uses the die but this time to cut a mask which I placed on a white card panel.  I then blended some Mint to To Be pigment ink from Avery Elle to lay down the shape of the tree.  Once that was dry I stamped the tree over the top in Versamark and embossed it in white.  I added white liquid enamel spots to the centres of the snowflakes on the tree and also to a die cut heart and the tree trunk (that I cut from hand).

Christmas Sparkle 2

The sentiment was stamped in the same Mint to To Be ink and the panel was mounted onto to some co-ordinating cardstock.  I finished it off with a little twine bow and the card was done!!

The release goes live at 10pm tonight so make sure you stay up and get your order in – you don’t want to miss out!!

Thanks for stopping by xx

The holidays are coming….

Ok – it’s still August but for a papercrafter that means it’s time to start thinking about the upcoming festive holidays such as Halloween and Christmas.  I have to admit that this last three months of the year is my MOST favourite season – I love the Autumn, Halloween, 3 of my children (and myself) have birthdays and then IT’S CHRISTMAS!!!  It’s a wonderful time of year in our house.  So in the spirit of the festive season (soon) I have a dainty little Christmas card to share!!

Today also sees the start of a new challenge today over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog and this week theme is everyone’s favourite… ANYTHING GOES!  The design team are featuring products from Memory Box but you don’t have to to enter.

Anything Goes Memory Box

Lately I’ve seen Debby Hughes making lots of cards in a smaller scale (4 bar size) which really appeals to me and is perfect for this little deer die.  I’ve used the Mini Stardust Stencil with some gorgeous silver-glitter sparkle medium with the Leaping Deer die both from Memory Box.  I covered the die cut deer in Versamark and then embossed him in silver fine embossing powder.  The sentiment is from Pretty Poinsettia from Clearly Besotted and is also embossed in silver.

Photography hell!!

A quick post to share one of the cards for Christmas.  I actually wasn’t going to post it because it caused me no end of grief trying to get a photograph of it!!  I used the Winter Wonderland set from Mama Elephant (after seeing on Taheerah’s blog – hence why this card HAD to go and live with her!!).  This photo is awful but believe me, it was the best I could get!  It looks much prettier in real life!

I actually decided I would share it as the Wednesday Challenge over at Simon Says Blog is “Ice Inspiration” and this fits the bill nicely!!  Just ignore the horrendous photography skills!!
