Avery Elle – Naughty or Nice

Hi there!  Today I’m over on the Avery Elle blog sharing a fun little Christmas project I created using the Naughty or Nice stamp set and the Classic Bag Elle-Ments die.  I love this gift bag die – it’s so easy to assemble and is great for any occasion.  I heat embossed the design using white embossing powder onto the front of the bag and die cut two tags from the Scalloped Banner Elle-ments.  The “Love, Santa” was stamped in red and added to the bag finished off with a red polka dot bow!!

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to play with my Clearly Besotted stamps and boy, have I missed it!  I was so chuffed to see we were featuring them for this week’s Wednesday Challenge but then I had a struggle to decide which of the many sets to use!  One of my all-time favourites is Modern Christmas (designed by my bestie Amy Gray) and as I’m in total Christmas mode I thought this would be the perfect one to ink up!  I started by heat embossing in white, three of the Christmas trees and then used Abandoned Coral Distress ink mixed with a little water to add colour to them.  For the card panel I sponged some of the same colour mixed with a little Spun Sugar Distress ink but I wanted a little more “something”!  So, I took an acrylic block and scribbled some AC ink onto it and spritzed with water to make a puddle.  I then used a small paintbrush to flick splatters onto the card base and also mixed in a little Perfect Pearls for a touch of shimmer.  To finish I arranged the tress onto foam adhesive and added a few Iridescent sequins from Little Things From Lucy’s Cards then stamped the sentiment in Smoke ink from Simon Says Stamp.

Avery Elle – Penguin Greetings

Hey there peeps!  I’ve been playing with a great stamp set from Avery Elle called Penguin Greetings!  It features a cute little penguin family all decked out in their winter gear – I love it!  I started with a piece of watercolour card and sponged some cracked pistachio distress ink onto the centre area.  I also splattered some of the same colour onto the panel and then ran it through my Bigshot with the Wonky Stitches Elle-ments (can’t get enough of this die – may favourite right now)!  I kept the colouring of the penguins quite simple using Distress inks and then die cut the sentiment using another new set from Avery Elle called Holly Jolly Elle-Ments.
