A Spoonful of Sugar #54 -Sketch by Sonja

As it’s Tuesday it’s time for a new challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar. This week the fantastically talented Sonja has provided us with a gorgeous sketch. At first I thought it looked quite complicated but once I got started it was so easy to follow. It’s definitley one I’ll use again. For my card I have used a gorgeous stamp from the latest set released by Pink Gem Designs. This one is Ice-Cream Milly and she is a dream to colour. As always she is coloured with promarkers (pastel green, cool aqua, turquoise, cocoa, burnt umber, cinnamon, ivory, vanilla, blush, mustard, gold, apricot). The papers are from the Sweet Stack by DCWV and the lace edge is done with a Fiskars border punch. The flowers are Flora Doodles from Joanna Sheen.
We have a fabulous prize this week from the mega-talented Regina at the Cutting Cafe – you can chose 3 downloads. Hope to see you over at the blog.

Passion For Promarkers #2 – Apple and Pastel Pink.

It’s time for the second challenge over at Passion For Promarkers – yay! This was MEANT to be the first week’s theme but as we had such amazing prizes on offer from our wonderful sponsors, Gina and Denise thought it would be better to give everyone a chance to enter and so Challenge #1 became Anything Goes. Well, I think we were all surprised by the number of entries we had – it was fantastic looking at them all. I’m glad I wasn’t judging the winner!!

SO, this week we now have a colour theme – Apple and Pastel Pink. These two colours complement each other beautifully. For my card I have used the gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp “Postbox”. The papers are from Stampin Up! (Tea Party). The ribbon is actually coloured with the Apple promarker – incredibly useful for when you don’t that perfect colour!! I have used a few other colours on this card:

Apple, meadow green, pastel pink, rose pink, blossom, cinnamon, cocoa, ivory, vanilla, conflower blue, china blue, carmine, apicot, gold.

Hopeyou all get a chance to get over to the blog and check out the fabulous cards from the other DT members – they are a talented bunch you know!!

Our prize this week, kindly donated by Denise is a gorgeous Willow stamp by Whiff of Joy – beautiful.

I am also going to enter this card into this weeks Charisma Cards challenge which is “Going Dotty”. I thought it would qualify as there are dots on the girls hat and the background paper!!

Hugs,

Cupcake Crafts Challenge #42 – Fairies

Yay, it’s Monday (not something you’ll hear very often) but Monday means a new challenge over at Cupcake Crafts! This week is a brilliant theme picked by the fabulous DT member Evelina Wikberg FAIRIES! I think most of us own at least one fairy stamp so this one should be easy peasy! The DT have done some fantastic cards again this week so please pop over for a look. I know I am being a wee bit repetetive (I used this same stamp, Sprinkles on Toadstool by Pink Gem Designs for last wek’s challenge) but I didn’t know then that this week was going to be fairies and I love this stamp so much I couldn’t resist inking her up again!! I have decouped her a bit on this card and added some ice stickles to her wings and crown and to the toadstool. The paper is by Dovecraft and the sentiment is from Papermania. I have used Promarkers to colour her (carmine, magenta, ruby, cool grey 1, ice grey 1, ivory, blush, vanilla, apricot). I have also used my SU! scallop edge punch.
We had such a great weekend here with the sun shining. It was SOOO hot and looks set to be another scorcher here again today. The kids are off school here for another week (we get shorter hols at Easter) so we are really going to make the most of it. I just wish I had more dirty washing – there’s nothing left to hang on the line!!!
