Miss You!

I was inspired by my lovely friend Aimes with this card.  She made the sweetest little card for her boyfriend Chris and thought she might slip it into his lunch box one day (awwww).  My hubby Chris is jetting off to France for a skiing holiday in a few hours (assuming his flight out of Liverpool isn’t cancelled) and so I thought I’d take Aimes’ lead and slip a little card into his suitcase for him to find when he gets there.  I just got this gorgeous little stamp set – Darling Dots (Level 1 hostess gift from Stampin Up) and thought the heart would be perfect.  I have used three of my favourite Papertrey Ink inks – Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy and Spring Moss and matched it with scraps of card I had lying around.  I used my circle nesties for the, erm, circles!  The sentiment is also from PTI (Mega mixed messages) and the little flourish is from a magazine freebie set from ages ago.
Right better go and make sure he’s packed enough clean pants and socks.  Knowing him all he’s got are his ski boots and some gloves!!

Mo’s Digital Challenge #13 – Birthday

This week there is a nice simple challenge over at Mo’s – make a birthday themed project using one of Mo’s images.  I have used this beautiful fairy called Tabia – she’s a dream to colour and her gossamer wings just cry out to be glittered!!!  You can pick her up at Mo’s Digital Pencil.  I have used this week’s Mojo sketch for the design and made an easel card.  The image is coloured with ProMarkers and the papers are from a HUGE stack by K&Co from QVC.  The pink card and ribbon are Raspberry Fizz from PTI.

The kids are off again today as all the roads around us are just giant ice-rinks.  I think they may not be back until next week now.  Hubby’s gone into work but hopefully he should be okay, he hasn’t got that far to go.

Have a great day and hope to see you over at Mo’s to try out the challenge.

Only 2 weeks too late!!

Look how pretty it looks!!  This is our house this afternoon right in the middle of the biggest snowfall we’ve had here in years.  I am happily enjoying this little bit of snow although I can say that because I don’t have to go out in it!!  The kids are officially off tomorrow and even hubby has the day free so I think we’ll enjoy making some snowmen and having hot cross buns and hot chocolate!!  Hope it’s good wherever you are!
