Papertrey Ink Emboss-Resist Challenge

Ok, this is the first time I have EVER tried this technique – I am way too safe to be dabbing ink directly onto anything!!  However, I have been avidly following the anniversary celebrations over on Nichole Heady’s amazing blog for the last 5 days and today she has set a challenge to use this technique.  There is going to be a challenge every Monday which is so exciting to me now that I own a healthy supply of PTI goodies (more to be added V soon!!).  If you, like me are new to this technique then there is a great video tutorial (videorial??) showing how it’s done over on Nichole’s blog.  I have used my Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set (there is a GORGEOUS background stamp in this set) with Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides inks and card.  The little sentiment is from the Mega Mixed Messages set.
Well, got my fingers and toes crossed as there is another awesome prize up for grabs.  I wonder what tommorrow will bring?!

A Passion For Papertrey?? Just a bit!!

This is a another card I made with my new goodies from PTI (swoon).  I have been having SO much fun with them and just love how easy it is to make something that looks so coordinated and clean.  I just love it all and can’t wait for the 15th (the date of the next release) to come round so I can order some more!!!!

This card was made for my lovely friend Kate as a belated birthday/thank you (she sent me a gorgeous little gift from her recent travels to LA).  Her favourite colour is Aqua Mist so I knew I had to use that!  The stamps are from the Blooming Button Bits set, the buttons are Aqua Mist and the ink and ribbon are Spring Moss.  The backround is done using Polka Dots Basics also in AM.  When I inked up the leaf stamp I then stamped one of the polka dot backgrounds onto the stamp before I stamped it onto the card.  If you look closely you can just see some little dots on the leaves!!  Kate and Aimes have a challenge on at the moment over at A Passion for Papertrey to use a nature theme so I think this qualifies!!

Mo’s Digital Challenge #17 – "Wood" You Be Mine!

Mornig peeps – here we are at Challenge #17 over at Mo’s Digital Challenge!!  This week our gorgeous February host Dawn want us to incorporate wood into our projects.  I was initially flumoxed but when I started looking through all of Mo’s images there was wood in quite a lot of them!!!  Of course it doesn’t just have to be in the image, you could use a wood effect paper, embellishments, the word “wood” or “would” etc…  The paper on my card is from Cosmo Cricket and the sentiment is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages.

Ok, have a good day one and all and happy crafting wherever you are.
Hugs,
