Passion for Papertrey – Inspiration.

A new challenge has been set at A Passion for Papertrey today and Kate has given us a scrummy photo to take our inspiration from.

How much do you want to eat those cookies??  Well anyway, as soon as I saw the picture I thought of my Heart Prints stamp set and the Simple Valentine paper collection.  And here’s what I came up with:

Card Details
I {heart} U
Stamps: Heart Prints, Banner Builder
Ink: Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst
Cardstock: True Black
Patterned Paper: Simple Valentine
Ribbon: Hibiscus Burst
Accesories: 1 3/4 ” circle punch,

I hope you can pop by the blog and see what Kate and Aimes have created and join in the challenge too.

Passion for Promarkers – All You Need is Love.

Aw, just what we all need to pick us up after the depressing come down that is post-christmas.  A little bit of love and romance to brighten our day!

Our new challenge at Passion For ProMarkers this week is LURVE!  I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to make a Valentines card for hubby – if I don’t I will NEVER get round to it.  After me struggling to use the large rose stamp from my Papertrey Ink YOF:Roses setamp set, here I am with my second card in as many days!  This time I took the plunge and coloured it (rather than bottling out and paper piecing it as in the last post – see below!!).  I used all the reds in my arsenal and actually love how it turned out.

Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique

Hope you can pop by the blog and have a go!

Out of my comfort zone!

I’m a week late with this post!!  First I was poorly with that horrible winter vomitting virus then I have had a week without hubby whilst he’s been off skiing in Switzerland!  Combining the 5 kids and our business which I basically singularly man from home – this week has been HAIRY!!

Anyway, onto the card.  Our challenge over at A Passion for Papertrey is “out of your comfort zone”.  In other words try something a bit different to your usual style – maybe a colour you don’t normally go for or try vintage if you’re usually CAS!
For me I have spent the last few months actively avoiding my YOF: Rose stamp set!  I was dying to get it when it was released but when I opened it and took one look at the main rose image I just closed the box and it has sat uninked ever since!!  If ever there was a time to use it, then this challenge is it!

Hope you can join us over at APFP this week .
