Just managed to grab a moment to make a card for todays Papertrey Ink contest. There were some really gorgeous elements to choose from but the colours of the design created by Melissa Bickford really jumped out at me.

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Contest Day 2
A Passion For papertrey Challenge – Stripes
Happy Tuesday everyone – just hear to share my card and tell you about the newest challenge over on at A Passion For Papertrey which is STRIPES! I was actually totally influenced this week by the current Tuesday Trigger Challenge over on Moxie Fab World.
Look at this and tell me you’re not inspired!!! This is what I came up with:
All Papertrey Ink
CS: Dark chocolate, Hibiscus Burst
Tools: Seeing stars dies, Block Alphabet dies, Linen/Canvas Impression plate
I stared with a cream card base and then matted a panel of Dark chocolate CS, die cut with the largest of the Stars from the Seeing Stars die set and run through the Bigshot with the canvas side of the Linen/canvas impression plate. This was layered over a layer of Hibiscus Burst CS die cut with the middle-sized star. Behind this are small lengths of different PTI ribbons (great way to use up those scraps) and then finished off with a wee heart button from my stash. I die cut the letters using the block alphabet dies.
Well, that’s it for today. Hope you PTI fans get a chance to play along with us this week.

CAS-UAL FRIDAY – MOVIE CHALLENGE
Well happy weekend all – cold innit? I am nursing a bruised bottom today (thanks to a wee slip on the ice this morning – grrrr) – so thought I’d put my sudden immobility to some use and create a card for my brother’s birthday (which is actually today so is going to be a tad belated – sorry Dan!!)
I was inspired by the new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge which is to be inspired by a movie. I LOVE movies and one of my all time favourite actors is Robert DeNiro. This card is a nod to one of his best films, The Deerhunter. All products are Papertrey Ink (Masculine Motifs and A Little Argyle stamp sets – so underused but so useful for blokey cards!)
Well, hope you all stay safe wherever you are and be careful on those icy pavements – take it from someone who knows!!!
Hugs,
