Nature Inspired!

Woo hoo, check it out – 3 posts in one day!  You’d think I had nothing better to do!! Lol!  This is just a quick post before I head to bed to let you know about the brand new challenge at A Passion For Papertrey.  Our theme this time around is “Inspired by Nature” so grab your flower/butterfly/leaf/animal sets and pop along to the blog to share your creation.

Here’s what I came up with.

{Have a Fabulous Day}
Stamps: Blooming Button Button Bits, Beautiful Blooms (PTI), Just Fabulous (Clearly Besotted)
Ink: Tide Pool (Hero Arts), Pure Poppy, True Black, Scarlet Jewel (PTI)
Cardstock: Stampers Select White, Pure Popy, Patterned Paper pack (Aqua Mist)
Other:
Washi tape (??), Wink of Stella Clear brush pen

I took my colour cue from the current challenge at The Play Date Cafe – this happens to be one of my favourite all time colour combos  – just love it!!

I’m too tired to link everything up at the moment so I’ll do it tomorrow!!!  Night night!

Somebody stop me!

As I thought, I had to make another card with the leftover pieces of paper from my last card (THIS post)!!  It’s very similar to the other card but uses a slight,y different layout and arrangement – also I decided to pop the clouds up this time for variation!!

The challenge this week over at Casual Fridays is also appropriate for this card as they are asking us to stamp on designer paper!  I think I stamped on quite a few DP’s for this card,lol!!

Playing with paper – girly style!

When I saw that this week’s Make it Monday technique was paper piecing I knew I had to join in!  I love paper piecing but it is time-consuming and a wee bit fiddly – so I often don’t do it!  However, it has been in my head to paper piece the castle image from Little Princess ever since I got it so I thought this would be the perfect occasion!

I had so much fun with this card and have all the little bits of castle that didn’t go on this card sitting in a pile so I may just make a few more while I’m at it!  Doesn’t the font go beautifully with this design too?  I am going to make so much use of that sentiment set (Happy Days) from Clearly Besotted – it’s SOO useful !!
