10 Minute Craft dash #19 – and first YT video!!!!

Hello!  I’m here with a card for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge over at Pretty Pink Posh.  This is the first time I’ve played along but it was LOADS of fun and I can’t wait to do it again!!

I also thought it was a great time to make my first ever You Tube Video!  I have been pondering for a while about doing one and recently bought a sweet little pocket camcorder just for the purpose!  I love watching crafty videos on YT and have seen quite a few made for the Craft Dash challenge so this is what finally made me take the leap from thinking about it to doing it!

As you can see I couldn’t resist adding the sequins – I guess that means I failed the challenge doesn’t it?  My 13 year old tech-expert son told me – I am a total “noob” (?) when it comes to this so hopefully with a bit of practice I will be able to offer a slightly more polished performance in future videos!!!  I won’t have my head in so much for one thing, lol!!

I am actually working on my next video already – a craft haul I got today from Simon Says Stamp!!

The first ever Clearly Besotted challenge!!

Hey folks, the big news around here today is that Steph is launching a new challenge over on her blog Stamping and Sharing, for all fans of Clearly Besotted stamps and dies.  How is exciting is that??  The first challenge is “Anything Goes” so if you own anything CBS at all you must join in the fun and play along.  Even if you don’t have any of the products yet (what’s WRONG with you?? Lol) you can still play along – just click HERE and download the freebie digi images Steph has created for you!

In order to qualify for the prize (open to everyone worldwide), please kindly adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Your crafty creation must contain at least one Clearly Besotted product.
  • It must be posted on your blog or an online gallery and linked below – direct link to post only please.
  • The closing date for entries is Sunday 23rd June 2013 (12:00 Mindnight GMT).
  • Multiple entries are permitted but they must be a new creation each time.
  • Please put GD next to your name if you’d like to be considered for our August Guest Designer Spot.

To celebrate the very first challenge and to kick things off in style, Steph is offering one randomly selected winner a very impressive prize ……..wait for it…… 5 Clearly Besotted stamps sets of your choice!!!!!  Now that’s one generous prize package isn’t it!  The other VERY exciting bit of news to report is that you will also have a chance at a guest DT spot (just put GDT in your link).

Now onto the card I have created for this very first challenge.  I have used the new April Showers (currently out of stock but due in very soon I am told!) set and one of the little bows from Make a Wish.  Can I just say “BEST.FONT.EVER”

I coloured the umbrella with proMarkers and paired it with some PTI patterned paper and Cath Kidston washi tape.

Can’t wait to see all the entries – the challenge runs until Sunday 23rd June – have fun!!!

I actually used the current {CAS}e This Sketch challenge as my inspiration for this card (love their sketches) so am entering it over at that challenge too!!  Here’s the sketch:

More Balloons!!

Hello all, just a very quick visit to share a card I whipped up for the latest CAS(e) this Sketch Challenge.  I used the fabulous Make A Wish set (available on 6th June) from Clearly Besotted.  I love how there is a matching die for this!!)
